Nepal's lower house passes new map which includes India's Kalapani, Lipulekh

New Delhi, June 13 (ANI): Nepal's lower houses of Parliament on June 13 passed a controversial bill which validate country's claim on Indian territory. The lower house passed an amendment to redraw the new map including Indian area of Kalapani, Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura in the constitution of the country. Nepal's Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shivamaya Tumbahangphe had tabled the bill for discussions in the Parliament on May 31 to update the country's map and amend the Constitution. On May 20, Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli asserted that Lipulekh, Kalapani, and Limpiyadhura belong to Nepal and vowed to "reclaim" them from India through political and diplomatic efforts, as his Cabinet endorsed a new political map showing the three areas as Nepalese territory.

President Trump signs executive order aimed at regulating social media platforms

Washington DC (USA), May 29 (ANI): President of United States of America, Donald Trump, on May 28 signed an executive order aimed at increasing the ability of the government to regulate social media platforms. "I am today signing executive order to uphold the free speech and rights of American people. Vande Bharat Mission: Indian national at Muscat airport thanks Indian Embassy

Muscat (Oman), May 18 (ANI): Fourth flight from Oman under Vande Bharat Mission, IX 818 is scheduled to depart for Hyderabad on May 18. Indian nationals thanked authorities for repatriation process. "We are in Muscat and my mother-in-law has medical issue and thus we wanted to go to India. We approached Indian Embassy and they helped us," said stranded Indian in Muscat. Nepal extends coronavirus lockdown till June 2

Kathmandu (Nepal), May 18 (ANI): Nepal on Sunday extended the coronavirus lockdown by two weeks till June 2. Spokesperson for Nepal government, YubaRaj Khatiwada, announced extension of coronavirus lockdown as one of the decisions which was made after the cabinet meeting. The decision was taken during the high-level coordination committee for the prevention and control of COVID-19 under the convenorship of country's Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokhrael. During the lockdown, the Nepali government suspended ground and air transport, shut down most shops and industries while relaxing it for certain industries and service sectors, particularly related to essential food items, medical items and construction sectors. The decision comes after Nepal reported its first two deaths from the deadly virus.

Vande Bharat Mission: 158 Indians boarded Air India's repatriation flight from Dhaka

First batch of 88 ICU nurses from India reach UAE to combat COVID-19

Dubai (UAE), May 11 (ANI): Aster DM Healthcare has brought the first batch of 88 ICU nurses from India to support the UAE's ongoing efforts to fight COVID-19, with support from the Indian Consulate and UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Aster has selected 60 nurses trained in critical care, who were working at Aster's quaternary care hospitals in India who would be joining the UAE government's forces to manage the COVID-19 care facilities in Dubai. The UAE government along with Health Authority have set-up a 3000 bed field hospital in Dubai World Trade Centre to treat mild to moderate cases. This is a part of Dubai Government's proactive measure to build capacity to treat patients in case an upsurge of Covid-19 cases takes place.
