Prince Charles tests positive for COVID-19

Earlier this week, crown prince and Duchess of Cornwell, Camilia left London amid coronavirus scare. 71-year-old royal is currently in self-isolation in Scotland. 27 killed in terror attack on Gurdwara in Kabul

Kabul (Afghanistan), Mar 25 (ANI): At least 27 civilians killed and eight were wounded in a terror attack on a Gurdwara in the capital of Afghanistan Kabul. Afghan security forces took immediate action and gunned down all the four terrorists. Terrified people were running to save their lives in the Gurudwara. Ministry of External Affairs strongly condemned heinous terror attack and said that such cowardly attacks on places of worship of minority community especially at this time is reflective of the diabolical mindset of the perpetrators and their backers. "We strongly condemn the heinous terror attack on a Gurudwara in Kabul. India has tremendous capacity to combat COVID-19: WHO

Geneva (Switzerland), Mar 24 (ANI): The executive director of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr Michael J Ryan, said that India has a tremendous capacity to deal the coronavirus outbreak situation as it has experience of eradicating two pandemics, namely small-pox and polio. Dr Michael J Ryan said, "India is hugely populated like China and future of coronavirus pandemic to greater extent will be determined by what happens in densely populated large countries. It is really important that India continues to take aggressive action at public health level to contain, control and suppress this disease and to save lives. India led the world in eradicating two silent killers - Small Pox and Polio. India has tremendous capacities, all countries have tremendous capacities when communities and civil societies are mobilized." According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), the number of cases worldwide has surpassed 3,30,000, while the number of deaths has exceeded to 14,000.

(USA), Mar 24 (ANI): President Donald Trump on Monday issued an executive order to prohibit hoarding and price gouging of medical supplies in the United States amid the coronavirus pandemic which has claimed over 400 lives in the country. "The order will prohibit the hoarding of vital medical equipment and supplies, such as hand sanitizers, face masks, and personal protective equipment," Trump said at the coronavirus task force briefing. COVID-19 outbreak: Sikhs prepare over 30,000 free meal packets for Americans in self-isolation

New York (USA), Mar 24 (ANI): The Sikh Center of New York, Inc prepared and packaged more than 30,000 home-cooked meals for Americans in coronavirus self-isolation. The Sikh community was approached by New York's Mayor office for food packages that were handed out to several distributing federal agencies in the area. Home-cooked meal is comprised of dry fruits, rice and lentils. Sikh Center is distributing and delivering free food to COVID-19 affected people in New York. Strict food hygiene practices were observed while the food was prepared such as maintaining social distancing and using face masks and gloves. The distributing agencies will provide food packets to people who are facing trouble in getting food at supermarkets. Nepal builds special hospital for COVID-19 patients within 72 hours

Bharatpur (Nepal), Mar 21 (ANI): A special hospital with 70 beds, including 10 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Dependent Unit (HDU) with 10 beds designated to treat COVID-19 patients was built in Nepal's Chitwan District within 72 hours of its announcement. The hospital came into operation from Friday itself, abiding by the deadline of three days set by the Bharatpur Metropolis on 18th March. Exhibition center, constructed by Chitwan Industry Union, was converted into a temporary medical facility to cope with increased risk after the outbreak of new strain of coronavirus or the COVID-19 which has now taken the form of a pandemic. The Chitwan Medical College (CMC) has been designated to coordinate with College of Medical Sciences and the Private Hospital Coordination Committee and operate the ICU and HDU of the newly set hospital. Pakistan records first-ever coronavirus death

New Delhi, Mar 19 (ANI): A 50-year-old patient from Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan died due to coronavirus. It was the first-ever coronavirus death recorded in Pakistan.
