New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): After witnessing a hike for the past couple of days, the petrol prices witnessed a marginal drop of 8 paise on Wednesday in the national capital while diesel rates continued its upward trend following a hike of 12 paise. Petrol and diesel are today being retailed at Rs 70.33 and Rs 64.59 per litre respectively in Delhi. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, a litre of petrol will cost Rs. 75.97 today after a decline of 8 paise. On the other hand, diesel witnessed a drop of 13 paise in Mumbai and is being sold at Rs 67.62 per litre. The rise in prices comes amidst the revision of global crude oil prices owing to a possible stifling of supply in the near future. The last week of 2018 saw a dip in fuel prices. However, prices have been on the rise since January 7.
New Delhi, Jan 14 (ANI): Fuel prices on Monday continued to witness an upward trend with petrol and diesel being sold at Rs 70.13 and Rs 64.18 per litre respectively in the national capital. This is the first time that fuel prices reached Rs 70-mark in the year 2019. While petrol price witnessed a hike of 38 paise, diesel got costlier by 49 paise in Delhi. In Mumbai, petrol and diesel are being retailed at Rs 75.77 and Rs 65.73 per litre respectively. This comes amid the perpetual rise and fall in the petrol and diesel prices across the country. In the last week of 2018, the fuel prices witnessed a dip in its prices by plummeting to its lowest.

In Hyderabad Petrol price is at Rs 73.47/litre and increased by Rs 0.20 whereas Diesel is priced at Rs 68.60/litre and increased by Rs 0.30. In Lucknow, Petrol price is at Rs 69.23/litre with an increase of Rs 0.23 and Diesel is at Rs 62.52/litre with an increase of Rs 0.32.

In the latest effort, Twitter users in China are being interrogated for posting content critical of the government. One Twitter user in China was reportedly interrogated by the police for eight hours, while some users are facing threats and even detention for days after posting critical messages. The users are demanded to delete critical posts or their accounts. As CNET reports, the crackdown is said to be part of President Xi Jinping's campaign to censor content posted online in the country. Twitter is currently banned in China, however, people use software to access the popular micro-blogging site.
