IIT Madras sees highest campus placements; average salary at Rs 21.48 lakh

The top recruiters of the year include EXL Service, OLA Mobility, EY India, American Express, Microsoft India, IQVIA, Larsen & Toubro, Enphase Energy, Qualcomm, and Kotak Mahindra Bank among others

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has recorded the highest-ever job offers received during campus placements in an academic year 2021-22, with 1,199 students getting offers from 380 companies.

The average salary received by students during campus placements for 2021-22 was Rs 21.48 lakh per annum. The highest salary offered was $250,000. During the phase I and II of campus placements for the 2021-22 academic year, 231 pre-placement offers (PPOs) were also received from students’ summer internships. This has led to a total of 1,430 job offers, which is significantly higher than the previous highest of 1,151 job
