: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday appealed to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao-led BRS Government to not allow any obstruction in development being planned for the people of the state, as he expressed 'pain' at the alleged non-cooperation of the ruling dispensation towards central initiatives aimed at the southern state. Speaking at a public meeting here, Modi without mentioning any names, said a handful of people encouraging 'parivarvaad' (dynastic politics) are trying to see where they can reap benefits from projects being implemented for the people of Telangana. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday flagged off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express train here. PM Modi, who arrived in the city, flagged off the service from Secunderabad Railway station. He boarded the stationary train at the railway station and interacted with school children. The train will reduce the travel time between Secunderabad in Telangana and Tirupati in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, by almost three and half hours and will be particularly beneficial for pilgrims. On January 15, Modi had virtually flagged off the Vande Bharat train service between Secunderabad and the port city of Visakhapatnam in AP, which was the first such service connecting the two Telugu-speaking states. : Minister K T Rama Rao on Friday wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding that the test for the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) be conducted in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and other official languages as well, other than English and Hindi. As per the notification, the Computer-based test will be conducted only in English and Hindi, a press release from KTR said. Rama Rao said the test put students who did not study in English medium or are not from Hindi-speaking states at a disadvantage. The Minister reminded Shah that the National Recruitment Agency had decided to facilitate a Common Eligibility Test (NRA-CET) to replace multiple examinations, and to conduct these in 12 Indian languages. A court granted bail to Telangana BJP president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar who was arrested over the alleged leak of secondary school exam papers. The Principal Judicial Magistrate court in Hanamkonda district granted bail to Kumar on furnishing a personal bond of Rs 20,000 with two sureties. The Telangana BJP chief was directed not to leave the country without the court's permission. It also asked him not to tamper with the evidence, and cooperate with the investigation. Sanjay Kumar, a Lok Sabha MP from Karimnagar constituency, was named as prime accused in the case relating to the alleged circulation of Class 10 (SSC) Hindi examination question paper in groups of an instant messaging app. He was arrested by the Warangal Police on Wednesday on charges of criminal conspiracy and malpractices, among others. Police on Thursday filed a petition at a court in Warangal district seeking custody of Telangana BJP President and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar and other arrested persons in connection with the case of malpractice after two question papers of X standard (SSC) board exam surfaced on groups of an instant messaging app. A petition opposing the bail plea of Sanjay Kumar was also filed by police in the court, which will come up for hearing today. Police have sought three days custody of Sanjay Kumar and three other accused, who are in judicial remand and lodged in a jail in Karimnagar, for further investigation in the case. The custodial interrogation of the accused persons is needed to elicit more information in connection with the case and also as data in the phones has been deleted, police said. Telangana BJP President and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar was detained by the police, triggering protests in the state, police said on Wednesday. Sanjay Kumar, a Lok Sabha MP from Karimnagar constituency, was picked up by a team of police late on Tuesday night from his residence. The MP's supporters tried to prevent the police from arresting Kumar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Hyderabad on April 8 to dedicate to the nation and lay foundation stone for several development projects worth Rs 11,355 crore in Telangana besides flagging off a Vande Bharat Express train between Secunderabad and Tirupati. At Secunderabad Railway station, the Prime Minister will flag off the train service between Secunderabad in Telangana and Tirupati in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. This is the 13th Vande Bharat train to be introduced in the country, a release from Union Tourism and Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy's office said on Sunday. The travel time between Secunderabad and Tirupati, currently around 12 hours, is expected to decrease to 8.5 hours, it said. Telangana Chief Minister and BRS leader K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday said the Rs 6,000 assistance for farmers announced by the Maharashtra government was inadequate. Speaking at a rally in Loha tehsil in Nanded district, around 450 km from Mumbai, Rao suggested that the Maharashtra government decided to give this financial aid to farmers only after he addressed a rally in Nanded last month. "I came here only once and a provision to give each farmer Rs 6,000 per year was found in the Maharashtra budget. Why was it never done earlier? "This aid is like sprinkling water on a fire.
