India vs South Africa 4th T20I Highlights

India levelled the series 2-2 courtesy of the annihilation of South Africa by 82 runs at Rajkot. Dinesh Karthik shone with bat for India with his maiden fifty. It was once again a brilliant performance with the ball by the Indian bowlers, especially spinners and Avesh Khan who did not let any of the Proteas batters settle in and the chase of 170 seemed like an Everest that could not have been scaled ever.

No Proteas batter was able to settle in and as a result, the entire nine wickets fell for only 87 runs in the 17th over. Temba Bavuma, the Proteas skipper was retired hurt and therefore he didn't come to bat later on.

Earlier in the evening, after being put in to bat, India too didn't have an ideal start and batted pretty slowly. The Indian batters struggled so much that they could manage only 96 in the first 15 overs before Dinesh Karthik unleashed the T20 magic and scored 55 off just 27 balls to not only get to his maiden T20I fifty in his 16-year-long career but also get India to a fighting total of 169-6 in 20 overs.

IND vs SA 4th T20I Player of the Match: Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik, who hit his maiden T20I fifty in his 16-year-long career was rightfully adjudged as the Player of the Match. He hit a brilliant 55 off just 27 balls at a strike rate of more than 200 and was the lone reason India managed to get to 169 instead of struggling to get past 150 after being 95-4 in 15 overs.

India vs South Africa 4th T20I Toss

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and decided to bowl first once again. Rishabh Pant the India skipper also said that had he won the toss, he would have bowled first at the Rajkot wicket as well.

South Africa surprisingly dropped Wayne Parnell who had so far bowled really well and have brought in Marcio Jansen. Quinton de Kock was fit and available and therefore straightaway walked into the playing 11 in place of Reeza Hendricks. India remained unchanged.
