Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the truth of last year's Pulwama terror attack, in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed, has been accepted in Pakistan Parliament. He also said that when the entire nation was mourning the death of brave soldiers in the Pulwama terror attack, some people indulged in "dirty politics" for their political gains. Modi's statement came days after Pakistan's Science & Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry admitted his country's role in the Pulwama attack during a debate in their National Assembly (Parliament).
Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa's "legs were shaking" while Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi told the meeting of parliamentary leaders that India was about to attack their country, said a Pakistani lawmaker as he recounted the events of February 2019 meeting during which Imran Khan government decided to release Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman.
In a provocative message to Beijing, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Washington will provide any support to India as "deterrence" against China. Pompeo's statement to a TV channel is likely to ruffle the feathers in Beijing whose troops have been locked in a stand-off with the Indian Army along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh.

On this day in 1947, Pakistan launched an invasion to forcibly capture J-K using tribal raiders. In Washington DC, giant wheels come up to mark the Black Day as posters also exposed Pakistan for sheltering UN designated terrorists. In Paris, Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Maxette Pirbakas joined the Indian diaspora during a silent protest organised near the Pakistan embassy. The protest was held against Pakistan's invasion of Kashmir by tribesmen on October 22 in 1947 and to commemorate it as the Black Day for Global Peace.

New Delhi, Oct 22 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said that Pakistan forces have continued to engage in unprovoked ceasefire violations and often these violations happen from civilian areas to support infiltration of terrorists across LoC. "This year, till date Pakistani forces have carried out 3800 unprovoked ceasefire violations," he said. "There have also been attempts to drop arms and ammunition across the LoC in the garb of civilian activities. We have also witnessed that Pakistan's aid and abetment to cross border terrorism, smuggling of arms and narcotic substances have spilled over to the International Boundary," MEA Spokesperson added.

Kathmandu (Nepal), October 19 (ANI): Amid the continuous surge in COVID-19 cases, the Nepal government has decided not to bear expenses of all virus-infected people and not to bury infected people who died during home isolation. The decision, which was made earlier week by KP Sharma Oli-led administration, has been made public on Sunday through the daily COVID-19 briefing held by Ministry of Health and Population. Decided during a Cabinet meeting, a list of people completing certain criteria will be getting the facilities from the government. The latest decision has gone into effect for all government, non-government hospitals and laboratories from Sunday itself. The new decision has left more than 25 per cent of the population (statistics from ADB, 2010) deprived of proper tests for COVID-19 infection.
Muzaffarabad (PoK)/ Karachi (Pakistan)/ Hunza (Gilgit-Baltistan), Oct 13 (ANI): People from Gilgit-Baltistan are carrying out demonstrations across the region and in major towns of Pakistan against what they call Pakistan's clampdown on people's civil and political rights. While they demand the immediate release of the activists who have been sentenced on trumped-up charges, they have launched a massive resistance drive in the wake of Islamabad's making attempts to change the political status of occupied Gilgit-Baltistan. In Muzaffarabad, a massive protest was organised on October 11 by Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front and Student Liberation Front against Pakistan government's decision to make Gilgit-Baltistan a province. Political activists said that they will sacrifice themselves but will not let Pakistan alter the status of the region. People from Gilgit-Baltistan, who have been living in other Pakistani towns, have also taken to the streets against Islamabad's arbitrary decision.

The former President of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries Ashok Baidh strongly demanded the opening of Nepal-India border in order to resume cross-border business activities.
President Donald Trump briefly left the hospital on Sunday in his car to wave to supporters gathered outside. The president's visit came shortly after he promised his supporters a surprise in a video posted a video on social media.
