New Delhi, May 29 (ANI): Netherlands embassy along with US co-hosted a pitching workshop for Indian entrepreneurs in Delhi. The aim was to prepare them to participate in the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2019 in Netherlands' Hague. Shivamogga (Karnataka), May 17 (ANI): Mangoes hit the market and crossed almost Rs 100 per kg in Karnataka's Shivamogga. Traders in Shivamogga are buying mangoes for Rs 30 to Rs 40 per kg. Local sellers and street vendors are selling the mangoes at Rs 100 per kg or even higher than that. Traders are busy buying different varieties of mangoes from the farmers and also from the plantation owners due to its high demand. The tanneries were closed down before Kumbh Mela in January this year to provide clean water to pilgrims. The workers are returning back to their village. New Delhi, May 01 (ANI): A new study led by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Washington shows that in addition to reducing the severity and number of extreme weather events, effective climate change mitigation efforts would lower fossil fuel prices. Thus, the findings suggest reducing greenhouse gas emissions could have long-term economic benefits in low-income countries.Study claimed that the successful global efforts to significantly limit greenhouse gas emissions would likely increase the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of poorer countries over the next 30 years.Study shows that beyond the benefits of reduced extreme weather in the long term, global mitigation efforts would also lower oil prices in the coming decades, resulting in a significant economic boon for poorer countries.

Mumbai, Apr 04 (ANI): Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das addressed media after concluding the first meeting of Monetary Policy Committee (MCP) for fiscal year 2019-20. Speaking to media, he said that the export growth was weak in January and February 2019. He said, "Export growth remained weak in January and Feb 2019. While, imports especially non-oil gold imports declined. GDP projection for 2019-20 is kept at 7.2%, 6.8 to 7.1% for the first half of 2019-20 and 7.3 to 7.4% for the second half."
New Delhi, Mar 26 (ANI): While addressing a press conference, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Secretary, Pradeep Singh Kharola on Jet Airways said, "They (Jet Airways) have assured us that no more jets will be grounded, today 35 planes are flying, they will approach the DGCA for the next one month to get the schedule approved for the 35 planes. As per plan the given by Jet Airways, they're hopeful that by the end of next month, they would be able to fly about 40 more planes. If this happens, it comes to about 80% capacity." Civil Aviation Secretary's comments came after meeting with top officials of Airlines regarding current issues pertaining. This comes day after Naresh Goyal and his wife Anita stepping down from Jet Airways board of Directors.

According to Floriculture Association Nepal (FAN), about 160,000 stems of roses would be imported for 2019's Valentine's Day from India. Last year, Nepal imported rose worth Nepalese Rs 12.8 Million. New Delhi, Feb 02 (ANI): The total gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue collected in the month of January reached Rs 1, 02, 503 crore of which Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) stands at Rs 17, 763 crore. This year GST collection is 14 percent higher compared to the corresponding period last year, which was Rs. 89, 825 crore. The total collections for January are as follows: State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) stands at Rs 24, 826 crore while Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) was Rs 51, 225 crore (including Rs 24, 065 crore collected on imports). The Cess accounted for Rs 8, 690 crore which include Rs 902 crore collected from imports. The government has settled Rs 18, 344 crore to CGST and Rs 14, 677 crore to SGST from IGST as the regular settlement. It is worth noting that in the financial year 2018-2019, it is for the third time that GST Revenue collection has crossed Rs One Lakh Crore.
