Tata Motors on Tuesday in New Delhi launched its new premium car Aria 4x2.The car is a new addition to Tata's range of premium luxury cars and is a combination of a sedan and an SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) blended into one. While launching it, MD of India Operations for Tata Motors P. M. Telang stated that the launch of the car was a big boost to Tata's plans of launching more models into the range of premium vehicles.He also stated that there is a damp period in the market due to the rise in fuel prices but this wont affect the expansion campaign of Tata Motors in the Indian market.
Infosys Technologies Limited, on Tuesday announced its first quarterly report in Mysore. The world's first super-fuel efficient, carbon fibre Boeing 787 Dreamliner arrived on Wednesday at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. The airplane can carry 290 passengers and fly 15,750 kilometers at a stretch. The Dreamliner is an addition to the All Nippon Airways' (ANA) fleet of super fuel-efficient airplanes. Boeing has said that the airlines would save million of dollars due to it being highly fuel-efficient. The airplane has low cost of maintenance due to its light carbon-fibre construction.

Wipro's fourth quarter results met market expectations with the company's IT revenue for the January-March quarter standing at Rs 6,289 crore, an increase of 20percent over the corresponding quarter a year ago. While addressing mediapersons in Bangalore on Wednesday, chairman of Wipro Limited Azim Premji said consolidated revenue for the full year was Rs 31,099 crore, up 15% over the previous year.
A section of pilots belonging to the state-owned Air India went on indefinite strike on Wednesday in New Delhi and Mumbai after failed talks with the management of the national carrier over demand for parity in wages and other benefits with other pilots. A section of 800 pilots went on strike leading to cancellation of flights, leaving the passengers stranded at the airport. Terming the strike as illegal, Air India management has de-recognized the striking union and sealed their offices.

Infosys said on Thursday it would not stop its work in Japan due to the earthquake and Tsunami that hit the country last week and would continue to offer support and assistance to its clientele in Japan.
