Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday claimed that India was the only country in the world during the coronavirus pandemic that did not go give freebies but helped 80 crore people with free ration. The chief minister said this addressing a gathering here at Indira Gandhi Prathisthaan after inaugurating an exhibition to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "India was the only country, which did not distribute any 'revrhi' (freebies) but when the need arose, free ration was provided to 80 crore people. And, more than 200 crore free vaccine doses were also made available," he said. "India was the only country that did not waver during the coronavirus pandemic and but continued its journey forward with full patience and strength. For the nation's healthy and empowered future, children should be well-fed and free from malnutrition, said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday. In his address while launching a National Nutrition Month programme at Lok Bhawan, Adityanath said if a teenager girl or child is well nourished, then society and the nation will move towards achieving the goal of becoming healthy and empowered. According to an official statement, the chief minister inaugurated 501 anganwadis and laid the foundation of 199 such centres. He also released a nutrition manual for the capacity building of anganwadi workers. He also launched a mobile app, "Sahyog", for collaborative supervision of anganwadis. The chief minister performed "annaprashan" of two children. He said 1.7 crore children strengthen their foundation through anganwadis in the state.

UP top milk producer in India, 9 new dairy plants to be ready by 2024: CM

Uttar Pradesh is India's largest milk producer and nine new greenfield dairy plants will get functional in the state in the next two years, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday. He sought the National Dairy Development Board's further support for the dairy sector in the state and assured all cooperation from his government. Adityanath said UP now has 319 lakh metric tonnes of annual milk production and contributes 16 per cent of India's dairy production and is the top milk-producing state in the country. He made the appeal and shared the figures during his speech at the inaugural session of the International Dairy Federation World Dairy Summit 2022, being held in Greater Noida. UP CM reviews preps for World Dairy Summit in Gr Noida ahead of PM's visit

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday evening reached Greater Noida and reviewed preparations for the World Dairy Summit-2022, which is starting from Monday. Lucknow hotel tragedy: UP CM Adityanath orders action against officials

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered action against 19 current and former officials, taking congnisance of a probe report into the death of four people in a fire tragedy at a hotel here. The 19 people are accused of irregularities and negligence in the report submitted by a high-level inquiry committee set up by the state government to probe into the tragedy that took place in the Hazratganj area on Monday. A spokesperson said the CM gave the instructions after receiving the investigation report of Lucknow Commissioner of Police SB Shiradkar and Divisional Commissioner Roshan Jacob. Four people, including two women, died and at least 10 were injured after a fire broke out in a four-floor hotel in the city's commercial centre Hazratganj Monday morning, police said. Rescue teams were inspecting the premises of the Levana Suites on Madan Mohan Malviya Marg in Hazratganj to check if someone had been trapped, officials said. Initially, 10 people were rushed to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee civil hospital. Of these, two were declared dead and seven are undergoing treatment. One of the injured was released, they said. Officials said two more people were later rushed to the civil hospital, and were declared dead, taking the toll to four. "Two more people who were found in a serious condition during room to room search of the hotel were rushed to the civil hospital. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said the state has become the preferred destination for investors after the improved law and order situation.
