Telangana Minister for IT and Industries K T Rama Rao has asked IndiGo Airlines to start respecting local languages after news emanated that a Telugu passenger was asked to vacate her seat at the exit as she reportedly failed to understand security procedures explained in English and Hindi. Uma Maheswari, a daughter of legendary Telugu actor and late TDP founder and ex-Chief Minister N T Rama Rao (NTR), allegedly died of suicide at her residence here on Monday, police said. She was 57. Citing preliminary findings, police said ill-health and depression were suspected to be the reasons for her allegedly taking the extreme step.
