Some forces conspiring to create mutual distrust in society, says RSS

Some forces in the world are not accepting "Bharatiya" resurgence and are opposing Hindutva thought within and outside the country, devising new conspiracies for creating mutual distrust and anarchy in society, and there is a need to defeat their designs, the RSS' top decision making body said on Monday. Passing a resolution at its meeting here, the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) urged the people to be vigilant against the forces that are instigating divisiveness. The ABPS wishes to underscore the fact that while many countries have respect and goodwill for Bharat, some forces in the world are not accepting this Bharatiya resurgence based on its 'Swa' or selfhood, the resolution passed at the annual meeting read. These forces opposing Hindutva thought within and outside the country are devising new conspiracies for creating mutual distrust in society, systemic alienation and anarchy by instigating selfish interests and divisiveness,

BJP says Rahul Gandhi insulted India abroad; twisting statement: Congress

Hitting back at the BJP over its criticism of Rahul Gandhi's remarks in the UK, the Congress on Tuesday said the ruling party is "rattled" whenever he speaks and was resorting to distorting, twisting and lying on his comments. The Congress' attack came after Ravi Shankar Prasad, a former Union minister, lashed out at Gandhi for his criticism of the state of democracy in India and the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh). At a press conference, the BJP leader also accused Gandhi of seeking the intervention of Europe and the US in India, and said he has gone against the consensus in India against any interference in its internal affairs by foreign powers. "Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad is doing what he and his Supremo do best-- distort, twist, defame and lie with a straight face," Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said in a tweet. Tagging a media report on Prasad's remarks, Congress' media department head Pawan Khera said on Twitter, "There is nothing more amusing than watching an ...

CPM Kerala continues to attack Jamaat-e-Islami over talks with RSS

The ruling CPI (M) in Kerala on Tuesday continued to target the Jamaat-e-Islami over its recent discussion with the RSS and urged the Muslim outfit to explain to the public benefits of the parleys. Party state secretary M V Govindan charged that the organisation was accusing the Left party of 'spreading Islamophobia' to deliberately cover up their stand towards the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He was speaking to reporters in the district in between the party's state-wide month-long People's Defence Rally, which began here on Monday. Stepping up his attack, Govindan said, "The Jamaat-e-Islami should explain to the people clearly what they are going to achieve by holding discussions with the RSS. The fact is that by using the term Islamophobia, a deliberate attempt is being made to cover up the stand of the Jamaat-e-Islami and the RSS." They were trying to blame the CPI (M) for that, he claimed and demanded that the outfit explain the benefit of holding talks with the Sangh Parivar.

Hailing the Indian family system, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said the country will become powerful when the feeling of nationalism is awakened in every family and urged Sangh members to work towards ending "casteism, inequality and untouchability" in society. He said the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will take up the cause of environmental protection and called for encouraging people to join the campaign of planting "One tree in the name of the nation". Addressing RSS members and their families, Bhagwat said it is the responsibility of the 'Sangh Pracharak' to remove discrimination and create a social environment free from all evils. Everyone should work collectively to make India 'vishwa guru': Bhagwat

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday asserted that everyone in the country will have to work collectively to make India 'vishwa guru' (global teacher). Addressing a gathering at Sant Maharshi Menhi Ashram in Bhagalpur, Bhagwat also said that people should refrain from feeding their egos and steer clear of materialism. "Ancient teachings of saints should first be practised at home and later spread outside. The teachings of our saints should first be practised in our everyday life... that should be the priority. "All of us, including the saints and seers, need to work collectively to make India 'vishwa guru'," the RSS chief said. He advised people to always speak the truth. "People should not feed their egos and steer clear of materialism. One should always stick to the truth. The world is an illusion, Brahma alone is the truth," Bhagwat added.
