Infrastructure sector on Friday urged the government to bring captive renewable policy and exempt from cross subsidy and transmission charges to make renewable energy more viable for those willing to set up clean energy plants beyond factory boundaries. India strengthens joint commitments with France, Morocco on clean energy

The Cabinet today gave its ex-post facto approval to two separate memorandum of understandings (MoUs) with France and Morocco for cooperation in the field of renewable energy. "The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its ex-post facto approval to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between India and France in the field of Renewable Energy on March 10, 2018 in New Delhi," an official statement said. Both sides (India and France) aim to identify research/ demonstration/ pilot project between National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), India and Commissariat a I'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives (CEA), France in the mutually identified areas. Based on mutual agreement, both parties will work for implementation & deployment of pilot project in ISA member countries. Collaboration may occur through several means, including joint research projects, R&D, workshops, Research and Technology exchange, including exchange of domain experts. ..
