Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recommenced his Bharat Jodo Yatra on its 91st day on Wednesday as he and fellow yatris marched towards the coaching capital of Kota from Darra Station Ganesh Mandir at 6 am. The yatra, which has so far covered over 2,400 kilometers since its start on September 7 from Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari, will travel at least 13 km in its first leg of its day three in Rajasthan to reach Mandana in Kota's Laadpura. The yatris will have a lunch break there before they resume at 3.30 pm to cover 9 more kilometers for a corner meeting at the Sasa Resort at 6.30 pm. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday said the party leadership will come up with a way to resolve the infighting in its Rajasthan unit while keeping the party above individuals. The party faces a tussle for power in Rajasthan between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his former deputy Sachin Pilot. The Trinamool Congress on Tuesday claimed that the Gujarat Police has arrested its spokesperson Saket Gokhale, terming it a "political vendetta". In a tweet, TMC national spokesperson and Rajya Dabha MP Derek O'Brien detailed the circumstances under which the arrest was made. Gokhale took a flight at 9 pm from New Delhi to Jaipur on Monday. Adani Green announces commissioning third hybrid plant in Rajasthan

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) on Monday announced commissioning of its third hybrid power plant in Rajasthan having generating capacity of 450 megawatts (MW). With this, AGEL said it has become the "world's largest wind-solar hybrid power developer" with an operational capacity of 1,440 MW. "AGEL has commissioned its third wind-solar hybrid power plant at Jaisalmer. The combined operational generation capacity of this newly commissioned hybrid power plant is 450 MW. The plant has Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) with SECI at Rs 2.67/kwh for 25 years," AGEL said in a statement. This project consists of 420 MW solar and 105 MW wind plants. In May 2022, AGEL had operationalized India's first hybrid power plant of 390 MW, followed by a 600 MW co-located hybrid power plant in Jaisalmer. The company's operational hybrid power generation capacity has reached 1,440 MW-mark, while the total operational generation capacity is 7.17 GW. Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra begins in Congress-ruled Rajasthan

Rahul Gandhi began his Bharat Jodo Yatra in the Congress-ruled Rajasthan on Monday morning. The yatra commenced from Kali Talai in Jhalrapatan in Jhalawar. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra, former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot, ministers, MLAs and many other leaders and workers joined Gandhi. Tight security arrangements have been made for the yatra. After covering 14 km, the yatra is scheduled to reach Baliborda chauraha at around 10 am. After the lunch break, the yatra will restart from Nahardi at 3.30 pm. Gandhi is scheduled to hold a corner meeting at Chandrabhaga chauraha in the evening. Bypolls: Voting underway in Mainpuri, 6 assembly constituencies in 5 states

Voting began on Monday in the by-election to six assembly constituencies in five states and the Mainpuri parliamentary seat in Uttar Pradesh. Rampur Sadar and Khatauli in Uttar Pradesh, Padampur in Odisha, Sardarshahar in Rajasthan, Kurhani in Bihar and Bhanupratappur in Chhattisgarh are the assembly seats where the bypolls are being held. Election authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the by-elections. The polling was being held amid tight security arrangements. In Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Chhattisgarh, the polling began at 7 am, while in Rajasthan it started at 8 am. In Uttar Pradesh, a direct contest between the BJP and the Samajwadi Party-Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) alliance is on the cards in bypolls to the Rampur Sadar and Khatauli assembly seats and the Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency. Rajasthan govt to organise folk art festivals to boost tourism in state

As the tourism industry is recovering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Rajasthan government has planned to organise folk art festivals from the panchayat to the state level to give a boost to the sector. These festivals will also conserve arts and culture of different regions of the state and work toward uplifting artists. Currently, Rajasthan has 22 types of folk festivals, but now the state government is planning to hold festivals from the panchayat to the state level, according to an official. The tourism department is preparing a detailed plan for it and cultural competitions will be held with a budget of Rs 27 crore, he said.
