Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said its construction arm has bagged an up to Rs 5,000 crore contract from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) in Uttarakhand. The construction arm of L&T has secured a large order for its heavy civil infrastructure business from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) for package 4 of the new broad-gauge line between Rishikesh and Karanprayag in Uttarakhand, India, the company said in a regulatory filing. The engineering and construction company did not provide the exact value of the contract, but as per its project classification, "large" orders are those valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore. The scope of the project includes construction of tunnels, formation, construction shaft, and other ancillary works between Rishikesh and Karanprayag, the company added. Infrastructure company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Thursday said its construction arm has received multiple orders across its business segments in the domestic market. The company did not disclose the value of the contracts but said the orders fall under the "significant" category, which ranges between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore, according to the classification of contracts. "The construction arm of L&T has secured (significant) orders from prestigious clients for its various businesses," L&T said in a regulatory filing. The company said its buildings and factories business has won an order from a reputed developer to construct an office space in Mumbai. The scope of the project includes construction of two towers comprising four basements, G+21 (ground + 21) floors with a built-up area of 33.50 lakh square feet. It has also won an order from the Haryana government to construct a Medical College at Jind. The scope of the project includes construction of a hospital .

Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L & T) said on Wednesday it has won orders for construction of metallurgical plants besides power transmission and distribution projects in the range of Rs 1,000 crore to 2,500 crore.L & T said that its metallurgical and material handling business has got orders to construct a metallurgical plant in the domestic market, add on orders from an overseas customer and product supply orders from various customers."Traction in metal prices gives a good outlook for the business in the near and medium term," it said in a statement.The company has also bagged engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contracts to construct a 500 kilovolt transmission line in Malaysia.The proposed overhead line will facilitate power evacuation from an upcoming combined cycle power generating facility in the region, said L & T.
