PM Modi to visit Mangaluru on Sept 2 to inaugurate six key projects

Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi will visit Mangaluru on September 2 to attend various programmes. Modi will inaugurate six projects, including Anagha Refinery and berth number 14 at New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT). He will also lay foundation to the Sagarmala project. Later, the PM will address a convention, which is likely to take place at Goldfinch grounds at Kulur. Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner K V Rajendra has confirmed the visit of Modi. All preparations including security arrangements have begun ahead of the visit. Modi will inaugurate first indigenous aircraft carrier war ship INS Vikrant on September 2. He will take part in the public programme in the afternoon and leave for Delhi in the evening.

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal becoming the next prime minister is not an individual's ambition but the whole country wants it, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said Sunday, days after the CBI raided his residence in over alleged irregularities in the excise policy. "Ek Mauka Kejriwal Ko" (One chance to Kejriwal) has become a national level talk, Sisodia said in an interview with the PTI. "People see Kejriwal as an alternative to Modi in 2024 because he talks about health, education and employment," said Sisodia, who is one of the accused in a case registered by the CBI into alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Excise Policy 2021-22. "The BJP, CBI, Lt Governor and Delhi Chief Secretary, all have single motive to stop Kejriwal otherwise, the 2024 (Lok Sabha polls) will slip out of their (BJP) hands," said Sisodia. PM to launch India's 1st international bullion bourse during Gujarat visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch several projects including the country's first international bullion exchange during his two-day Gujarat visit starting July 28. Assembly elections are due in Gujarat by year-end. On the first day of his visit, Modi will inaugurate a Rs 305 crore milk powder plant of the Sabarkantha District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union (Sabar Dairy) near Himmatnagar, said state minister and spokesperson Jitu Vaghani. The plant can produce 120 metric tonnes of milk powder per day, he said. From the stage, Modi will virtually inaugurate Sabar Dairy's three- lakh-litre-per-day milk processing plant and also perform ground-breaking for a cheese plant which would come up at a cost of Rs 600 crore, said Vaghani. Sabar Dairy is part of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF), the owner of the Amul brand.
