The Gurugram bench of the Haryana real estate regulatory authority (HRERA) has imposed penalties of Rs 25 lakh each on five builders after they failed to deliver their housing units to buyers on time. The regulator, however, allowed the realtors' RERA registration certificates to remain in force with new timelines for completion of their projects. As per the official statement, Identity Buildtech Private Limited has been fined for not completing its project Ansal Highland Park at Sector 103 within the declared timeline of June 2022. In this case, the authority has allowed the RERA registration to be in force till May 2024. Similarly, a penalty of Rs 25 lakh has been imposed on BPTP Limited for not completing its project Park Terra at Sector 37-D, Gurugram. The deadline for this project, which was April 2022 earlier, has been extended till April 24. Another developer Advance India Projects Limited has been penalised for its failure to complete the construction of Zen Residences -1 .
In the wake of a sudden spurt in Covid cases in some countries, Haryana's Health Minister Anil Vij on Thursday said there was no need to panic, but asked people to voluntarily follow precautionary measures like wearing of masks in crowded places and using hand sanitiser. Vij said if any specific guidelines or directions pertaining to Covid come from the Centre, they will be fully implemented in the state. "There is no need to panic. But people must themselves follow measures against Covid like wearing masks, using sanitisers etc. Everyone should voluntarily follow these measures," Vij said in a statement. He said Haryana has adequate stocks of medicine and RT-PCR test facility in every district. Ventilators are also available in sufficient numbers. "We are fully prepared to fight against corona. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed from Malab village in this district on the second day of its Haryana leg on Thursday with senior leaders from the state joining the former party chief in the march, braving the morning chill. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has declared Lord Parshuram Jayanti as a gazetted holiday in the state. Khattar made the announcement on Sunday while speaking at the 'Lord Parshuram Mahakumbh', a state-level event held in Karnal to commemorate the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Parshuram Jayanti is celebrated on 'Akshaya Tritiya' every year. According to the Hindu calendar, the Lord Parshuram's birthday falls on the 'tritiya' (third day) of 'shukla paksha' in the month of 'Vaisakh', which occurs in April or May. On this occasion, the chief minister made several other announcements, including naming the Kaithal medical college after Lord Parshuram, said an official statement here. The app -- 'Criminal Monitoring System' -- is the first such attempt in the state to monitor and track an accused, the spokesperson said. Information about the accused and their crimes have been updated in the app, developed by police personnel in Hansi, he said. "Along with this, if a criminal is released from jail on parole, the police will immediately be notified. After this, police personnel will be able to get instant updates on that particular criminal on the app," he said. The application was launched by Superintendent of Police (Hansi) Nitika Gehlot. Resident doctors at the Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak on Friday called off their strike and resumed duties. They were on strike for the past eight days in solidarity with the ongoing agitation by MBBS students against the Haryana government's bond policy. The decision to call off the strike was taken following a meeting with the Haryana Chief Minister on November 30, in which Manohar Lal Khattar announced changes in the bond policy. However, MBBS students, who have been agitating against the bond policy for nearly a month, continued their stir. In a meeting with the representatives of MBBS students and the resident doctors, Khattar on November 30 said that the state government reduced the bond policy amount from Rs 40 lakh to Rs 30 lakh and cut down the duration of the compulsory government service from seven to five years. Five more states and union territories -- Haryana, Andaman and Nicobar, Tripura, Jharkhand, and Arunachal Pradesh) -- are likely to integrate with the National Single Window System (NSWS) by December 15. The system currently accepts applications for 248 government-to-business clearance and approvals from 26 central ministries and departments, including states. So far 16 states/UTs are already onboarded, including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Karnataka, the department for promotion of industry and internal trade (DPIIT) said in a statement on Thursday. "The teams are working with 5 more states to integrate by 15 December," it said, adding, "it is expected that the onboarding of remaining 8 ministries/departments of Government of India would happen by 31 December and the balance states/UTs by 31 March 2023." The Centre's air quality panel has directed Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana to register only CNG and electric autos from January 1 and complete the phase out of the diesel ones in the National Capital Region by the end of 2026. The Commission for Air Quality Management issued an order on Wednesday, saying the target was that only CNG and e-autos ply in the NCR from January 1, 2027. It directed the three states to ensure registration of only CNG and e-autos from January 1 in the NCR and phase out diesel autos in a graded manner by the end of 2026. The NCR covers Delhi, 14 districts of Haryana, eight districts of Uttar Pradesh and two districts of Rajasthan. Delhi had launched a programme in 1998 to convert its fleet of diesel auto rickshaws into CNG ones. No diesel-run auto is registered in Delhi at present. The Delhi Transport Department had launched a scheme in October last year for registration of 4,261 e-autos.
The Haryana government on Wednesday reduced the bond policy amount from Rs 40 lakh to Rs 30 lakh and cut down the duration of compulsory government service from seven to five years, but the move failed to cut ice with MBBS students. The students, who have been protesting against the bond policy for nearly a month, rejected the changes, which were announced by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and said that their agitation will continue. Facing criticism from the Opposition over the bond policy, Khattar took charge on Wednesday and held a four-hour meeting with the representatives of the protesting students. Announcing the changes after the meeting, the chief minister said the government has reduced the duration of compulsory government service under the bond policy from seven years to five years.
