A three-day G20 meeting on education concluded here on Friday with the delegates dwelling on creating a tech-enabled learning environment to promote equal opportunities, maintain quality standards, and encourage global collaboration across all levels of education. Russian President Vladimir Putin may attend the G-20 summit in India in September, but no decision has yet been made, his spokesperson said on Monday. "It cannot be ruled out," Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said when asked if Putin's participation in the summit in India in September was being considered. "But no decision has been made yet," Peskov was quoted as saying by the state-run Tass news agency. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday said in India's G20 presidency year, the country is getting "world ready" and the world is getting "India ready". Jaishankar inaugurated the refurbished Golden Haveli in Chandni Chowk. The haveli has been refurbished by BJP leader Vijay Goel who also gave a tour of the haveli to Jaishankar. Several G20 countries, including China and Japan, will participate in a flower festival at Central Park, Connaught Place here on the weekend, officials said on Thursday. The objective is to showcase the vibrancy and colourful display of G20 members and guest countries, the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) said in a statement. The NDMC G-20 Flower Festival is being organised at Central Park, Connaught Place on March 11 and 12. Flower plants of different colours and varieties will be displayed in different forms and installations, it said. The NDMC will be displaying different flower plants showcasing the diversity of the Indian Subcontinent. The second meeting of the Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI) under G20 India Presidency concluded here on Tuesday. According to an official release, the two-day meeting was led by GPFI Co-Chair and G20 India Presidency and saw participation from Ministry of Finance and Central Bank representatives from G20 and non-G20 countries and international organisations. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday held bilateral talks with visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang with a focus on the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
