A 17-year-old girl was attacked with acid by two people on a motorcycle near Uttam Nagar in west Delhi on Wednesday morning. The girl was admitted to the Safdarjung Hospital, where doctors said she suffered seven to eight per cent facial burns and injury to her eyes. Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena will chair a meeting along with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday to take stock of the preparations for events as part of India's G-20 presidency, LG House sources said. India officially assumed the presidency of the G-20, a grouping of the world's 20 major economies, on December 1. The country will host more than 200 preparatory meetings across the country beginning this month. The next G-20 Leaders' Summit at the level of heads of state or governments is scheduled to be held on September 9 and 10 next year in New Delhi. Sources said Delhi ministers will attend the meeting to be chaired by Saxena and Kejriwal. The Delhi government will provide 450 types of medical tests free of cost at its hospitals and health centres from January 1, sources said on Tuesday. The number of medical tests provided free of cost by the Delhi government at present is 212, they said. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has given nod to a health department proposal for making 238 more tests free of cost at hospitals and Mohalla Clinics, the sources in the government said. The facility will be available to the people of Delhi, they said.

Delhi Lieutenant General V K Saxena has granted sanction to prosecute the main accused in the 'Sulli Deals' case in which Muslim women were "auctioned" online. Aumkareshwar Thakur will be prosecuted under section 196 of the Criminal Procedure Code, which pertains to prosecution for offences against the State and for criminal conspiracy to commit such offence, sources said on Sunday. Police need the LG's sanction to prosecute the accused under this section. Thakur had allegedly created the Sulli Deals App and Sulli Deals Twitter handle that auctioned Muslim women on social media platforms, with the aim of insulting them and the Muslim community. The police had registered a case on July 7, 2021. "The LG is of the considered view that a prima facie case is made out against the accused, and therefore, the sanction is granted for prosecuting him," a source said. Cabin crew constraints are impacting Air India's ultra long haul flights, with the Tatas-owned carrier deciding to either reschedule or cancel certain services to San Francisco and Vancouver, according to airline sources. The sources said the airline is either delaying departures or cancelling some of its ultra long haul flights amid cabin crew shortages and the situation is resulting in inconvenience to passengers in this peak winter travel season. Generally, ultra long haul flights are those having duration of more than 16 hours. "Air India flights AI-183/AI184 (Delhi-SFO-Delhi) for December 10 and December 13 stand cancelled," Air India said in an internal circular on December 9. In another internal circular, the airline said that "due to cabin crew constraints its flights -- AI101 and AI 102 (Delhi-New York-Delhi) as well as AI 185/ AI186 (Delhi-Vancouver-Delhi) were being rescheduled". The Procurement Digital Library - a repository of all the supply and work orders -- will ensure transparency and reduce the burden of RTI's related to procurement at the institute, according to an office memorandum issued on December 9. "The data on this PDL shall also be helpful to other government institutions for benchmarking their engineering and stores procurement against AllMS procurement trends, prices and specifications," the OM issued by AIIMS Director Dr M Srinivas said.
