BoM strengthens ease of banking for customers; launches new products

State-owned Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) on Friday announced launch of several new products and utilities including digitised personal loans and upgraded mobile banking. To make customer journey more efficient and strengthen bank's digitization journey, the bank launched, end-to-end digitised personal loans for customers in several regions viz. Pune region (Pune West, Pune City & Pune East), Bengaluru, Kolkata, Patna and Chandigarh, BoM said in a statement. Existing customers can avail loan up to Rs 20 lakh, in a hassle free manner, through digitised medium, it said. To add to the customer delight bank came up with features for its Visa and Rupaydebit Cards. Visa International Debit Card is new edge contactless card which will work on all tap & pay device, across India and abroad, which can be availed without any joining fees, it said. NIC made app to facilitate registration, redressal of consumer grievances

The NIC has developed a mobile software application aiming to facilitate online registration and time-bound redressal of consumer grievances related to the Legal Metrology Act and rules framed thereunder, according to an official statement. The NIC has developed 'Maaptol Grievance' app which is now available on the Google Play store. "This initiative aims to facilitate online registration and time-bound redressal of consumer grievances related to the Legal Metrology Act and rules framed thereunder," the statement said. The resolution of the grievances lodged on the app "shall be attended by Weights and Measures Department, Delhi government in a time-bound manner, within two working days (48 hours)," it said. BYJU'S processes 98.5 per cent refunds within 48 hours of receiving such requests from customers, the edtech company said in its submission to child rights body NCPCR on Friday. Defending itself on the allegation of mis-selling, BYJU'S said it does not encourage, order or incentivise its sales staff and managers to pursue customers who are uninterested in or unable to pay for its products. "BYJU'S stated that it has robust written refund policy for all products and services. At every purchase touch point, the customer is informed about the terms of the refund policy. It also stated that 98.5 per cent of the refund requests that are submitted to it through official channels are processed within 48 hours," the company said in a statement. Tata Motors on Monday said its website faced temporary glitches as customers rushed in to book its recently introduced electric hatchback Tiago.ev. Bookings for the model commenced on Monday and deliveries are expected to commence from January next year. "We are overwhelmed with the response to the Tiago.ev at our dealerships and on our website. With thousands of customers rushing to book online at the same time, the website slowed down for a bit and is restored. We regret the inconvenience to our customers," Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Managing Director Shailesh Chandra said in a statement. Myntra expects 6 mn unique customers on its platform during festive sale

Fashion and lifestyle e-tailer Myntra expects around six million customers to shop from its platform during its annual festive season sale event starting on September 23, the company said on Thursday.
