GSTN empanels EY, IRIS, 2 other firms to provide e-invoice registration

GST Network has empanelled four private companies, including EY and IRIS Business, for providing e-invoice registration services to businesses. Businesses with turnover of Rs 10 crore and above are required to generate electronic or e-invoice for all B2B transactions. So far, taxpayers under Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime could use only government portal NIC to register their e-invoices. "Four private companies viz. ClearTax, Cygnet, E&Y and IRIS Business Ltd were empanelled by GSTN for providing these e-invoice registration services to all GST taxpayers of the country," GSTN said in an advisory to taxpayers. GSTN, which provides technology backbone for GST, also said empanelment of private firms would add significant capacity and redundancy to the single e-invoice registration portal which existed earlier. Senior living residences and retirement communities focused company Primus on Friday said it looks to add 2,000 units to its senior living residences as it enters the Mumbai market. The entry into the MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Region) makes it the fourth metropolis after Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune. In a release, Primus said that it currently has over 700 units spread in three metro cities. With the entry into Mumbai, the company hopes to add another 450 units to its tally, taking the total units of senior living residences to 1,150 along with a pipeline of an additional 900 units. Southern cities account for a major share of the senior living market in the country. Adani Green Energy on Thursday said its 700-MW hybrid green energy project has become operational, which took its total operating renewable portfolio to 8,024 MW, the largest in India. The project is its fourth wind-solar hybrid power plant fully operational at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, a company statement said. It stated that the 700-MW plant is the world's largest wind-solar hybrid power plant. "With the successful operationalisation of the 700-MW plant, the world's largest wind-solar hybrid power plant, AGEL now has the largest operating renewable portfolio in India with 8,024 MW," it said. The combined operational generation capacity of this newly added hybrid power plant is 700 MW and has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at Rs 3.24/kwh for 25 years. This new hybrid power plant consists of a combination of 600 MW solar and 510 MW wind plants.
