Opposition leaders on Friday criticised the government for abstaining from voting on a draft resolution in the UN Human Rights Council on holding a debate on the human rights situation in China's restive Xinjiang region, saying India should speak for what is right and should not be afraid of its neighbour. Centre to launch campaign focussing on cleanliness in govt offices

Union Minister Jitendra Singh will launch a special campaign here on Sunday focussing on cleanliness and reducing pendency in government offices, according to an official statement. Until now, more than 67,000 sites have been identified by ministries/departments of Government of India for conducting the cleanliness campaigns, the statement issued on Saturday said. Around 21 lakh physical files and 3 lakh e-files are due for review during the campaign. For the first time this year, the campaign will also focus on e-files and their review, it said. The campaign 2022 reinforces importance of timely disposal of references and a clean work space. This is expected to cover a number of post offices, overseas mission/posts, railway stations, and other public offices in mission mode during the month-long campaign, it said. 13 firms ink non-disclosure agreement with Centre to use ULIP data

As many as 13 firms, including MapMyIndia, CargoExchange and Yes Bank, have signed a non-disclosure agreement with the government to access data from the Unified Logistics Interface Platform, the commerce and industry ministry said on Saturday. The Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) was launched on September 17 as part of the national logistics policy. The ministry said that 11 more organisations like Instavans and Trucks, Bosch India, Portlinks and Shiprocket are in the process of signing the agreement. The policy aims to bring ease of doing business in the logistics sector by simplifying the logistics processes, improving its efficiency, bringing in transparency and visibility, and reducing logistics cost and time. "Till date, 13 organisations - MapMyIndia, CargoExchange, Freight Fox, Conmove, Intugine, Eikonatech, Yes Bank, Superprocure, CargoShakti, CloudStrats, Shyplite, APSEZL, and AITWA have signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to access data on ULIP," the ministry
