Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday said the AAP will regularise markets that have have not been granted licenses by MCD, which, he alleged, BJP denied them to extort money. The results of Haryana Panchayat polls were declared on Sunday with the candidates of the BJP, AAP and INLD registering victory on several seats of zila parishads in the state. The notification of the names of all the elected candidates will be duly issued in the Haryana state government gazette before November 30, a senior poll official said. The ruling BJP won 22 out of 102 seats of zila parishad it contested in seven districts including Ambala, Yamunanagar and Gurugram, according to a party leader. However, the party received a jolt in Panchkula where it lost 10 seats of zila parishads. The Aam Aadmi party managed to make its presence felt in the panchayat polls as it claimed victory over 15 seats of zila parishads in districts including Sirsa, Ambala, Yamunanagar and Jind. The BJP has the highest number of millionaire candidates in the fray for the December 4 Municipal Corporation of Delhi polls, followed by the AAP and the Congress, according to a report by Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR). Of the top three richest candidates, two from the BJP and one from the AAP. Three candidates from the AAP have the highest amount of liabilities while two independent candidates have declared zero assets. Another independent candidate, a Congress nominee and a BSP candidate have the lowest assets, the report said. It said 162 (65 per cent) out of the 249 candidates analysed from the BJP, 148 (60 per cent) out of 248 from the AAP and 107 (44 per cent) out of 245 candidates analysed from the Congress have declared assets valued more than Rs 1 crore. The Aam Aadmi Party has fielded the maximum 45 candidates with criminal records in municipal elections this year while the BJP has 27 such candidates, according to a report by Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR). The AAP has pitched 250 candidates, out of which 248 self sworn-affidavits were analysed by the ADR and 18 per cent of them i.e., 45 have criminal records, the report said. Moreover, at least eight per cent of the AAP candidates have serious criminal cases against them, it stated. Meanwhile, the BJP, which has also pitched 250 candidates, has 27 candidates (11 per cent) with criminal records and the Congress has fielded 25 such candidates.
