Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday slammed AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal over poll promises, saying those who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others. He dubbed as a lollipop Kejriwal's promise of giving Rs 1,000 per month to all women above 18 in Punjab if AAP is voted to power and asked him how many women have been given this amount in Delhi. Kejriwal promises free pilgrimage scheme for people of Uttarakhand

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday promised to introduce a free pilgrimage scheme for people of different communities in Uttarakhand if the Aam Aadmi Party comes to power in the state. Under the free pilgrimage scheme, Hindus will be sent to Ayodhya, Muslims to Ajmer Sharif and the Sikhs to Kartarpur Sahib, he announced at a press conference in Haridwar. "We have introduced a free pilgrimage scheme for the elderly in Delhi under which they are taken in the comfort of AC trains for free to 12 different pilgrimage destinations all over the country including Haridwar. Inflation rate in Delhi lowest among metro cities: Manish Sisodia

The rate of inflation in Delhi was lowest among the five metro cities in 2020-21, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Friday. The Kejriwal government kept prices under control in Delhi even during COVID-19, he claimed. Delhi is more affordable to live as compared to other cities and food prices in the city are the "lowest" in the country, he said. Releasing the annual price index report prepared by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Sisodia said the average annual inflation growth rate based on Consumer Price Index (CPI) in 2020-21 was only 3 per cent in Delhi as compared to 5 per cent nationally. The Kejriwal government "efficiently managed" to keep inflation under control in Delhi even during COVID-19 and that was lowest rate of inflation among the five metro cities, Sisodia, who is also the Finance Minister of Delhi, said. Punjab assembly polls: AAP announces first list of 10 candidates

The Aam Aadmi Party on Friday announced its first list of 10 candidates for the 2022 Punjab assembly polls. All of the 10 candidates are sitting MLAs. Senior AAP leader Harpal Singh Cheema, who is the Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly, has been given ticket from Dirba seat, while Aman Arora will contest from Sunam assembly constituency, according to the list shared by the party on its Twitter handle. Saravjit Kaur Manuke will contest from Jagraon seat and Baljinder Kaur from Talwandi Sabo. Jai Kishan Roudi has been given ticket from Garhshankar seat, Manjit Bilaspur from Nihal Singh Wala, Kultar Singh Sandhwan from Kotkapura, Budhram from Budhlada, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer from Barnala, and Kulwant Pandori from Mehal Kalan, according to the list.
