Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index records a surge of 1.81%

Nifty Realty index ended up 1.81% at 448.85 today. The index has added 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd rose 5.87%, Phoenix Mills Ltd gained 3.25% and Macrotech Developers Ltd added 3.08%. The Nifty Realty index has increased 19.00% over last one year compared to the 5.90% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index increased 1.74% and Nifty Private Bank index added 1.59% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.16% to close at 17604.95 while the SENSEX increased 0.09% to close at 59085.43 today.
