Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index gains 2.68%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended up 2.68% at 2906.95 today. The index has gained 19.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Bank of Baroda rose 4.69%, Bank of Maharashtra added 4.08% and Canara Bank jumped 3.60%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has soared 18.00% over last one year compared to the 9.19% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index has dropped 1.69% and Nifty Energy index added 1.09% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.03% to close at 17345.45 while the SENSEX increased 0.04% to close at 58136.36 today.
