India VIX drop 2.48% as shares advanced.
The Nifty July 2022 futures closed at 16,312.95, a premium of 34.45 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 16,278.50 in the cash market.Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 68.89 lakh crore compared with Rs 54 lakh crore reported in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index gained 229.30 points or 1.43% to settle at 16,278.50.
The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, dropped 2.48% to 17.16.
Reliance Industries (RIL), HDFC Bank and Infosys were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
The July 2022 F&O contracts will expire on 28 July 2022.
