"While walking during 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' we heard people's voices while we also kept our voices. We talked to children, women, elderly during the yatra. People also talked about Agniveer scheme but youth of India told us about them being asked to leave after four years. Senior officers said that Agniveer Yojana came from RSS, Home ministry and not from Army, said Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha.

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake has struck the central Turkey region, reported the news agency Reuters citing European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.  The quake was at a depth of 2 km, EMSC said

A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel along with a specially trained dog squad and necessary equipment has departed from Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad to carry out search and rescue operations in Turkey. India has sent the NDRF team to Turkey after earthquakes jolted Turkey and Syria on Monday.

Rescuers in Turkey and war-ravaged Syria searched through the frigid night into Tuesday, hoping to pull more survivors from the rubble after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake killed more than 4,000 people and toppled thousands of buildings across a wide region.
