Real estate firm Ganga Realty will invest Rs 750 crore to build an affordable housing project in Gurugram. The company will develop 2,972 apartments in new project 'Tathastu', which is spread over 22 acres in Sector 5, Sohna-Gurugram. The price of the apartment starts from Rs 25 lakh. "The company will spend Rs 750 crore to build an affordable housing project," Ganga Realty said in a statement. Vikas Garg, Joint Managing Director of Ganga Realty, said the total project cost is Rs 750 crore and this will be funded through internal accruals and customer advances. The project is expected to be delivered by the first quarter of 2027. Garg noted that Sohna is primarily an end user driven market. Realty major DLF will invest around Rs 3,500 crore over the next four years to construct a new luxury housing project in Gurugram as its seeks to tap strong demand for residential properties. DLF will develop a new group housing project 'The Arbour', which is spread over 25 acre and comprises 5 towers with a total of 1,137 premium apartments. DLF, the country's largest real estate firm in terms of market cap, sold all 1,137 units, each costing Rs 7 crore and above, for over Rs 8,000 crore within 3 days (February 15-17). In an interview with PTI, DLF Ltd CEO Ashok Tyagi said, "We will develop around 4.5 lakh square feet area in this new project." Asked about the construction cost, he said it will be between Rs 7,000-8,000 per square feet given the amenities promised in this luxury project. Registration of residential properties in Hyderabad fell 3 per cent to 5,274 units in February, according to property consultant Knight Frank India. The residential market includes four districts, namely Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Rangareddy and Sangareddy. The total value of properties registered stood at Rs 2,816 crore in February against Rs 2,837.7 crore in the year-ago period, Knight Frank said in a statement. At the district level, home sales registrations in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district were recorded at 43 per cent, followed by the Rangareddy district at 39 per cent. The share of Hyderabad district in total registrations was recorded at 15 per cent in February 2023. Registrations of residential units in the price band of Rs 2550 lakhs remained highest, constituting 51 per cent of the total registrations in February 2023. Realty firm Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd on Friday said it has acquired 4.25 acre land in Bengaluru to develop a housing project and is expecting revenue of around Rs 400 crore from this property. The company expects to launch the first phase of the project within the calendar year 2023. In a regulatory filing, Mahindra Lifesapce, the real estate and infrastructure development arm of the Mahindra Group, informed that it has purchased 4.25 acres of land in Singasandra, South Bengaluru. The land is estimated to have a developable potential of around 4.6 lakh square feet of saleable area and a Gross Development Value (GDV) of about Rs 400 crore primarily comprising of premium residential apartments, it added. Property consultant Anarock, which has got the mandate to sell over 5,000 unsold flats of erstwhile Amrapali group, on Wednesday said it has facilitated the sale of 1,455 housing units so far. State-owned NBCC has undertaken the completion of many residential projects in Noida and Greater Noida under the aegis of Amrapali Stalled Projects and Investment Reconstruction Establishment (ASPIRE) and supervision of the Supreme Court of India. "To date, Anarock has sold 1,455 homes in the NBCC Aspire mandate, with 520 units having been sold in the last three months alone," Anarock said in a statement. Of about 5,200 unsold units in these projects, the consultant said that about 4,000 are still up for sale. Anarock was appointed as the exclusive agent to market and sell these units, it added. Realty firm Godrej Properties has acquired 12 acres of land in Pune for development of a housing project that has an estimated sales revenue potential of about Rs 2,000 crore. According to a regulatory filing, the company has, on an outright basis, acquired a 12-acre land parcel in Mundhwa-East, Pune. The development on this land will primarily be for a premium group housing project. The project will have a developable potential of approximately 2.2 million square feet with an estimated revenue potential of around Rs 2,000 crore, it added.
