Bengaluru (171) and Kolkata (185) are the least expensive Indian cities in the rankings, the survey said.

The other Indian cities in the list include, New Delhi at 118th place, Chennai (154), Bengaluru (179) and Kolkata (189). All the four cities have moved down from last year.

After topping the Economist Intelligence Unit's Worldwide Cost of Living Survey for five years, Asia's Singapore has been joined by Paris and Hong Kong in a tie at the top of the table

Mumbai is ranked 17th ahead only of Berlin, Johannesburg and Rio de Janeiro
