German luxury carmaker Audi on Monday reported a 27.14 per cent rise in its retail sales in India at 4,187 units in 2022. The company sold 3,293 units in 2021. Although the supply chain challenges and semiconductor scarcity still hold back the full potential of growth, Audi India said its performance in 2022 was buoyed by a strong product portfolio, a revival in customer sentiment and strong business continuity. The luxury carmaker also said it has increased the prices of its vehicles by up to 1.7 per cent in most of its models from January 1. Audi India Head Balbir Singh Dhillon said the company's growth in 2022 is higher than the estimated growth of 20-22 per cent of the luxury section in India and the company witnessed sales growth in all the segments it is present. Luxury carmaker Audi on Wednesday said it will increase prices of its model range by up to 1.7 per cent, with effect from January 1, 2023. The company said it is hiking the prices due to an increase in input and operational costs. "The primary objective of the company's business strategy focuses on a model that begets profitability and sustainability. The price correction is affected as a result of the rising supply-chain-related input and operational costs," Audi India Head Balbir Singh Dhillon said in a statement. The new price range for the company models is directed at maintaining the premium price positioning of the brand, ensuring sustainable growth of both the automaker and its dealer partners, he added. German luxury carmaker Audi on Friday reported a 29 per cent growth in retail sales at 2,947 units in the January-September period of this year in India. Audi India had retailed 2,291 units in the same period last year. The growth was driven by the new A8 and Q7, coupled with continued demand for the e-tron range, A4, A6, Q5 and the RS performance range, the company said in a statement. Audi will manufacture its own power unit in an era when there will be a greater emphasis on sustainable fuels and an increased electrical component in engines. German luxury carmaker Audi on Tuesday said it will increase prices of its entire model range by up to 2.4 per cent next month. The price hike is a result of rising input and supply chain costs and will come into effect from September 20, 2022, the automaker said in a statement.
