Lawmakers' objections to an obscure Chinese semiconductor company and tough Covid-19 restrictions are hurting Apple's ability to make new iPhones in China

Apple is all set to unveil the latest range of iPhones, iPhone 14 series in today's 'Far Out' event

Reports had earlier suggested that Apple was upgrading the ultrawide camera in the new models. The increase in the size of the camera cutout may be due to the upgrade

The new phones in iPhone 14 series are expected to be launched in green, purple, blue, black, white and red colours

This includes rapid battery drain as well as longer-than-usual charge times

In the letter, Apple said it had known about battery problems caused by a manufacturing defect as early as fall 2016

Apple said an update to its iOS operating system will show the phone's battery health and recommend whether the battery needs to be replaced
