The party had last month kick-started the door-to-door campaign in all the wards of Delhi to collect signatures from the residents. "Our target was to collect 10 lakh signatures and we achieved it on Sunday. Our district incharges, Lok Sabha incharges and councillors were involved in the campaign," Rai said. Everyone knows that Sisodia and Jain were the people who transformed the education and healthcare system in the national capital, Rai claimed. In a letter to the Finance Minister, Chadha, who is Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, sought to draw his attention towards the plight of the Punjab farmers, saying that since March 24, rains, high-velocity winds, and hailstorm have impacted wheat crop more than 14 lakh hectares of 34.9 lakh hectares of total wheat area in the state. Senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh on Friday alleged that the BJP is going to demolish a government school adjacent to its new central office on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg and take its possession. Addressing a press conference here, Singh alleged that BJP's new central office encroaches on a government school adjacent to it and that the party is now "planning to run bulldozers on it." "A government school right beside BJP's new office is going to be demolished as the party wants to take possession of the land. First, they built a party office by occupying the school and now, they are planning to run bulldozers on it. AAP will never let that happen," Singh, a Rajya Sabha member, claimed. Future of over 350 children will be at stake if the school is demolished, he said. "As long as the AAP government is there in Delhi, no school will be allowed to be demolished. BJP is planning to get that school demolished in the name of re-development. The party has its own private schools and in order t

The agency was putting his political rivals behind bars in fabricated cases, the party alleged after Modi said that the CBI has earned the faith of people through its work and techniques. Addressing the diamond jubilee celebrations of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Modi said even today when a case remains unsolved, there are demands for handing it over to the CBI and asked officers to take action against the corrupt, however powerful, without any hesitation. Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor and councillor Yogesh Verma have alleged that Mayor Oberoi "withheld files on the extension of contractual services workers, beyond April 1, in various departments, including the horticulture department, by "putting pressure" on corporation officials. The AAP on Wednesday demanded that the Election Commission recognise it as a national party "immediately" and ensure it gets all the facilities during the Karnataka Assembly polls a national party is entitled to. The poll panel said earlier in the day it was looking into the issue of granting national status to the Aam Aadmi Party. "The Election Commission announced the schedule for Karnataka elections today but we have a grievance with it," AAP Rajya Sabha MP and national spokesperson Sanjay Singh said at a press conference. He lamented that the poll panel has not yet taken any decision on the matter even after the AAP fulfilled the conditions required to be declared a national party with its performance in Punjab, Gujarat and Goa polls last year. "Election Commission has not officially given national party status to AAP despite the party ruling Delhi and Punjab and has two MLAs with over 6 per cent vote share in Goa. The party also has five MLAs in Gujarat where it secured about
