BSE closes 87.79 points down on Aug 16

New Delhi, Aug 16 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 87.79 points down to stand at 28,064.61. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 29.60 points down to stand at 8,642.55. Piramal Enterprises Ltd and CIPLA Ltd were among the top gainers of group A with an increase of 7.46% and 7.14% along with NCC Limited and Eclerx Services Ltd with an increase of 6.27% and 6.20% respectively, while the top losers of group A includes Unitech Ltd and Religare Enterprises Ltd with a decrease of 16.91% and 7.98% along with Rajesh Exports Ltd and Jaypee Infratech Ltd with a decrease of 4.59% and 4.45% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 129.91 points at 21274.89 while the Banking sector is down 58.30 points at 21815.64 and the Realty sector is down 8.51 points at 1576.21. The Indian currency is 0.10% down with Rs 66.82 per dollar.
