BSE closes 473.45 points up on January 22

New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 473.45 points up to stand at 24,435.66. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 145.65 points up to stand at 7,422.45. GAIL (India) Limited and Mahindra and Mahindra Limited were among the top gainers of group A with an increase of 7.64% and 5.43% along with Hindalco Industries Limited and Maruti Suzuki India Limited with an increase of 5.27% and 5.15% respectively, while the top losers of group A includes Idea Cellular Limited and Bharti Airtel Limited with a decrease of 6.01% and 3.20% along with Bosch Limited and ITC Limited with a decrease of 0.82% and 0.73% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 594.98 points at 16891.43 while the Banking sector is up 481.84 points at 17625.07 and the Realty sector is up 21.62 points at 1183.61. The Indian currency was up with 0.53 % at Rs. 67.66 per dollar.
