A 40-year old person, who returned from abroad to Kamareddy district in Telangana, has shown symptoms of monkeypox. The Centre held a high-level review meeting on Sunday.
With a slight drop, India reported 20,279 new cases of Covid-19 after 3,83,657 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed on Sunday. India on Saturday reported 21,411 new Covid cases, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Emphasising that the country is getting equipped to make the 21st century "the century of India", outgoing President Ram Nath Kovind highlighted the importance of healthcare and education and said these, along with economic reforms, would enable citizens to pursue happiness by discovering their potential.
President-elect Droupadi Murmu will be sworn in as the country's 15th President on Monday.
