India reported an increase of 4,953 in active coronavirus cases to take its count to 104,555. The country is twenty-fourth among the most affected countries globally by active cases. On June 29, it added 18,819 cases to take its total caseload to 43,452,164. And, with 39 new fatalities, its Covid-19 death toll reached 525,116, or 1.21 per cent of total confirmed infections.

With 1,417,217 more Covid-19 vaccine doses being administered on June 29, India’s total count of vaccine shots so far reached 1,976,191,554. The count of recovered coronavirus cases across India, meanwhile, reached 43,452,164 — or 98.56 per cent of the total caseload — with 13,827 new cured cases being reported on June 30.
