India reported an increase of 2,023 in active coronavirus cases to take its count to 130,713. The country is twenty-fourth among the most affected countries globally by active cases. On July 11, it added 16,678 cases to take its total caseload to 43,639,329. And, with 26 new fatalities, its Covid-19 death toll reached 525,454, or 1.21 per cent of total confirmed infections.

With 1,144,145 more Covid-19 vaccine doses being administered on July 10, India’s total count of vaccine shots so far reached 1,988,877,537. The count of recovered coronavirus cases across India, meanwhile, reached 42,983,162 — or 98.50 per cent of the total caseload — with 14,629 new cured cases being reported on July 11.
