EAM S Jaishankar arrives in Kathmandu for 5th Joint Commission Meeting

Kathmandu (Nepal), Aug 21 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar arrived in Kathmandu for 5th Joint Commission Meeting. The meeting will be held from August 21 to 22. The meeting will be co-chaired by Nepal's Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali. The two leaders will review the entire gamut of bilateral partnership, including in the fields of connectivity, trade, economy, culture, power and education.

Trump calls Kashmir 'a complicated situation', once again offers his proposal to mediate

Washington DC (US), Aug 21 (ANI): US President Donald Trump here on Tuesday (local time) once again offered his proposal to mediate on Kashmir, despite making it clear before that the ongoing dispute in the region should be resolved bilaterally by India and Pakistan. During an interview with NBC News, the president said, "I'll do the best I can to meditate or do something." Calling Kashmir a "complicated situation", Trump said, "A lot has to do with religion. You have the Hindus, and you have the Muslims. This has been going on for decades." During a phone conversation last week with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, Trump had reaffirmed his position that Kashmir remains a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan. Terming the visit as successful, Lotay Tshering said, "We are happy to report that Narendra Modi visited us for 2 days. It was a successful visit. Successful as we all are very happy,we could give what he wanted,we could get what we wanted,mainly in terms of heart to heart connection." He further added, "We did not have any dialogue on Doklam this time because we don't have issues on Doklam this time. Everything is normalised. London (UK), Aug 18 (ANI): The ANI reporter stood up against the despicable act of tearing and disregarding the tricolour by Pakistani supporters during a recent protest outside the Indian High Commission on the Independence Day. The incident occurred on Thursday during anti-Indian protests that had otherwise already witnessed scenes of Pakistani side throwing eggs and stones on Indian diaspora. At one point, a young Khalistani supporter sneaked into where the Indians stood, grabbed an Indian flag, threw it over to the Pakistan side and returned to his cohorts. Video from the scene of the incident shows a Pakistani man mutilating the flag and challenging the Indians to retrieve it. While the police officers turned a deaf ear to the Indians who brought the desecration of the flag to their attention, the ANI reporter crossed to the Pakistani side, snatched the flag from the hands of the man and brought it back.

VP Naidu accorded Guard of Honour on his arrival in Lithuania

Activist from Gilgit Baltistan demand representation in Indian Parliament
