New York, Aug 23 (ANI): United Nations met on safety of religious minorities' on August 22 and slammed China and Pakistan for discrimination against Ahmadis and Christians. President of Human Rights Focus Pakistan, Naveed Walter said, "Today, large number of people is marginalized in their own society. The biased behavior dwells in other areas also, like the minorities on basis of religious affiliation as like in Pakistan, Ahmadis having a situation, like China, growing no. of countries using national security as pretext for restricted religious expression at role of religion in public domain." Meanwhile, Lord Ahmad, Prime Minister's Special Envoy on Freedom of Religion or Belief, UK said, "United Kingdom has spoken up for rights of religious communities and minorities across world, from Uyghurs in China, Christians and Ahmadis in Pakistan."

Japan's Shimizu Corporation seeks to increase offshore wind power construction capacity by building an offshore wind farm construction vessel. Shimizu Corporation's announcement of the construction comes after Japan passed a law earlier this year to increase offshore wind power development. The sea vessel will have four legs that can be lowered to the ocean floor, lifting the rig above the water surface. The elevated platform will allow a stable work area so that cranes can operate without interruption from the surrounding water conditions.
