Indian Army to begin recruitment for over 2700 posts in JandK

Srinagar (JandK), Sep 18 (ANI): Indian Army will conduct recruitment for 2780 vacancies in JAK LI regiment (Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry). It is scheduled on 3-4 October. While speaking to ANI, Commandant of JAK LI Recruitment centre Srinagar, SL Sharma, said, "ARO (Army Recruiting Office) Jammu, ARO Srinagar and JAK LI regimental center will conduct rallies to select recruits." "At JAK LI regimental center the Unit Headquarters Quota-UHQ Quota recruit rally will be conducted. Individuals who are blood relations of ex-servicemen and serving soldiers are eligible for the rally. It is scheduled on 3-4 October," he added.

'Debauchee' Nehru divided country on directions of Britishers: BJP MLA Vikram Saini

Hajipir Sector (PoK), Sep 18 (ANI): The Indian Army released a video of an infiltration attempt by Pakistan's BAT (Border Action Team) in Hajipir Sector of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) on 12-13 September by Pakistan Army. In this video, captured on Hand Held Thermal Imager, Pakistan infiltration or attempted BAT action bid was seen and eliminated. On 10-11 September, in Hajipir Sector of PoK, Indian troops killed a soldier Sepoy Ghulam Rasool of their Punjab Regiment from Bahawalnagar in Pakistan. In the same area, Pakistan attempted infiltration on night 11-12 September and 12-13 September. The attempt could have been from BAT action as well. The area reportedly has Pak SSG troops. These intruders were well-engaged resulting into one more Pakistan casualty on 12-13 September.

Pashtun activists hold protest against Pakistan's brutalities

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 18 (ANI): The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) on Tuesday organised a massive protest against the Pakistan Army and its intelligence agencies, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence, in front of the United Nations office here. Activists of the PTM from all parts of Europe gathered here to register their anger against human rights violations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the protests, the activists also noted that hundreds of Pashtuns are still missing and many have been killed by the Pakistan Army since they have launched so-called military action against terrorists in the Pashtun dominated areas. The PTM also launched a poster campaign at Broken Chair in front of the UN office and launched #StopPashtunGenocide campaign on social media. The Pashtun activists from Pakistan and Afghanistan also organised conferences and showed documentaries on Pashtun genocide at a special rant at Broken Chair.

London (United Kingdom), Sep 17 (ANI): While addressing the media in London on atrocities of Pakistan Army, Baloch leader Mehran Marri said, "Pakistan Army is notorious for its policy of rape and pillage like they conducted Operation Searchlight in Bangladesh. It is resorting to same policies in Balochistan now." "In space of one month a lady from Mardan and another from Gwadar have been raped by this coward army. They (Pakistan Army) have to be held accountable, be it Bajwa, Musharraf or any of these dictators. They have all committed crimes against humanity," Marri added.

PM Modi offers prayers at Sardar Sarovar Dam on his birthday

Narmada (Gujarat), Sep 17 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers to Narmada Devi (river) at the Sardar Sarovar Dam in Gujarat on September 17. He performed 'pooja' and 'aarti' along with the priest on his birthday. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also present on this occasion. He also inspected the work of dam along with other officials. PM Modi is celebrating his 69th birthday today.

PM Modi must raise issue of human rights in Sindh at UNGA: Activist

Geneva (Switzerland), Sept 17 (ANI): Political activists from Pakistan have requested Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak about the human rights violations in Sindh and other provinces during the upcoming UN General Assembly. Speaking at a "Conference on minorities and democratic process in Pakistan" in Geneva during the 42nd Session of Human Rights Council, Munawar Sufi Laghari, Executive Director of Sindhi Foundation said, "The difficulty in Sindh is the fear. The most difficult challenge is to over that fear. This cannot overcome inside the Sindh, so the only hope is outside. And my emphasis is that UN and other countries like U.S. and even I am suggesting that Prime Minister Modi is coming to the United Nations, he must mention about the Sindh because India got the name from the Sindh and lot of Sindhis are living in India and outside". Malala should urge Pakistan to stop committing atrocities in Balochistan: Activist Ashraf Sherjan

Germany, Sep 16 (ANI): Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai in posted series of tweets about people of Kashmir. She tweeted 'The people of Kashmir have lived in conflict since I was a child, since my mother and father were children, since my grandparents were young.' Reacting on this Baloch activist Ashraf Sherjan urged Malala to speak up against Pakistan to stop military operations in Balochistan and release all Baloch missing persons. "Pakistan government has made Balochistan in no go zone for journalist and media people. More than 20 thousand Baloch civilians are in the custody of Pakistani army and ISI most of them are Baloch leaders' activist, students, doctors, Lawyers even innocent women and children. Pakistan is carrying out illegal military operations in Balochistan. I request you to please urge Pakistan to stop military operations in Balochistan and release all Baloch missing persons."

Attack on Hindu school principal in Sindh 'politically motivated': World Sindhi Congress Chairperson

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 16 (ANI): Rubina Greenwood, Chairperson of World Sindhi Congress in Geneva on the Hindu teacher who was allegedly attacked in Sindh said that it was a politically motivated incident. "I think it is a very sad situation in Sindh. This is not the character of people of Sindh, we feel this is deliberate and motivated incident to just distract the people of Sindh from important situations. I think this is politically motivated full-fledged, because how can a 15-year-old can accuse a professor who is extremely respectable in Muslim and Hindu community." Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 13 (ANI): Political Activist from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) Amjad Ayub Mirza said that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's Muzaffarabad rally was a flop show. Our intellectuals are killed, our students are objected. Systematically they are instilling fear in the heart of Baloch people. Brian Toll supports Article 370, says it's about giving 'economic opportunities' to Kashmir

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 12 (ANI): Former Director of European Commission, Brian Toll supported Article 370 and said that it is about giving economic opportunities to the people in Kashmir. Toll said, "Article 370, for India, is about actually giving economic opportunities to the people in Kashmir, according to the govt and let's hope that it works. As far as it affects Gilgit-Baltistan, it is technically a part of India. It is another area that needs to have opportunities for economic development. It needs to have its people represented in relevant political bodies, have a voice on economic in the area so China-Pak Economic Corridor needs to be of interest of people of Gilgit-Baltistan." He further said, "It is very important to see the overall issue and Gilgit-Baltistan finding its place in a world order, having a voice and being able to express itself, not being controlled from Pakistan's central Islamabad."

Baloch activist slams Pak Army over enforced disappearances in Balochistan, seeks UNHRC's help

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 11 (ANI): One of the activists from Baloch on September 11 slammed Pakistan Army and its intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) for violation of human rights in Balochistan. The Baloch activist from Makran, Yunus Baloch said that Pak's Army and ISI are kidnapping people and killing them. The Baloch activists are protesting at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to raise their voice against Pakistan's atrocities in Balochistan and for their rights. Yunus added that the China is also supporting Pakistan Army.

Gilgit-Baltistan activists support abrogation of Article 370, 35A

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 11 (ANI): Gilgit-Baltistan activists reacted on the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35-A. They supported the scrapping of Article 370 and 35A move saying that these articles were a tool to enhance the scope of terrorism in J-K. Unfortunately, the people who were benefiting from Article 370 became allies of Pakistani military and they were promoting Pakistan's strategic interest in Jammu and Kashmir. Director of Institute of Gilgit-Baltistan Studies (Washington DC), Senge H. Sering said, "Article 370 had become a tool in the hands of few in Jammu and Kashmir which gave them veto power over other ethnic and religious groups." They call Jammu and Kashmir as constitutional part of India and the country has all right to amend its own constitution. They call it India's internal matter. They also blamed Pakistan for bifurcation of PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan in 1949 and scrapping of State Subject Rule in Gilgit-Baltistan in 1974.
