Both the dignitaries met on the sidelines of 35th ASEAN Summit. PM Modi and Australian PM Morrison discussed various bilateral issues related to both the countries. Rajnath Singh attends first Indo-Uzbek Joint Exercise in Tashkent

Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Nov 03 (ANI): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on November 03 attended the curtain raiser event of the first Indo-Uzbek Joint Exercise named 'Dustlik-2019' at the Armed Forces in Tashkent. The Defence Minister and his Uzbek counterpart jointly presided over the 'curtain raiser' of the first-ever India-Uzbekistan Joint Exercise. The exercise will be conducted from November 4-13 at Chirchiq Training Area near Tashkent and will be focused on counter-terrorism, an area in which the two countries share a common concern. The exercise will enable the sharing of best practices and experiences between the Armed Forces of the two countries and would lead to greater operational effectiveness.

3 BSF personnel received injuries in bomb blast at Chhath Puja pandal in Manipur

Imphal East (Manipur), Nov 03 (ANI): Three personnel of 120 BSF sustained injuries after a bomb blast at a Chhath Puja pandal in Manipur in the night of November 02. The incident happened near Telipati at Imphal East. BSF personnel were taken to a nearby hospital. Further investigation is underway. Meanwhile, locals sat on 'peace protest' to condemn the bomb blast during the festival.

Shiv Sena has support of over 170 MLAs in Maharashtra, claims Sanjay Raut

Mumabi, Nov 03 (ANI): Amid the power tussle in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said they have support of more than 170 MLAs and the figure could even reach 175. The Shiv Sena has been saying that there was a 50-50 power-sharing agreement between the two parties but Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said that the party's ally was not promised chief minister's post for two-and-a-half years when the alliance was finalised before 2019 Lok Sabha polls.The BJP-Shiv Sena alliance won an absolute majority in the Maharashtra assembly polls with the former emerging as the single largest party in the state with 105 seats. The Shiv Sena bagged 56 seats in the elections. On the other side, NCP won 54 seats in the assembly while the Congress won 44 seats in the 288-member assembly.
