We're very hopeful that India, Pak boards will get together: PCB Chairman

Dubai (UAE), Sep 24 (ANI): Pakistan Cricket Board's chairman Ehsan Mani was hopful that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will come together. Mani stated that irrespective of the bilateral relation between India and Pakistan, the dialogue between the two cricket boards should continue. He said, "I have already had a very constructive discussion with my colleagues from India, they are here. I think we'll have a lot of common ground going forward. We all understand that whatever happened in the past has happened, we have to look forward. At end of the day, game is bigger than any one person and politicians. When India and Pakistan play, over a 100 billion ppl are watching the game from India, Pak and other countries. No one cares about politics at that stage. We're very hopeful that boards will get together."

Always treated India fairly, even after pressure on me: PCB Chairman

Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Sep 24 (ANI): Pakistan Cricket Board's Chairman Ehsan Mani firmly stated that while being the president of International Cricket Council (ICC) he always treated all countries including India fairly. He also said that it is important to maintain a balance and he has always made efforts to bilaterally solve the issues. While briefing the media, he said, "As an ICC President, I have always treated all countries including India fairly, even if any country tried to put pressure on us. I never favoured BCCI or did something unfair to them."

Fans confident of India's Asia Cup win after it beat Bangladesh

Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Sep 22 (ANI): After India beat Bangladesh in the ongoing Asia Cup, fans expressed confident about India's winning the Asia Cup. One of the fans said, "It was a good match and easy win for India. Rohit Sharma and Shekhar Dhawan played very well. We have hopes that India will win the Asia Cup." Another one added, "They have bull dozed over the entire team. The way Indian beat Pakistan and Bagladesh it will going to be an easy walk over till the finals." Indian team looked strong by defeating arch-rivals Pakistan by eight wickets in the last contest. Indian fans in large numbers arrived at Dubai International Cricket Stadium to witness the match. Asia Cup: Fans across India celebrate 8-wicket victory over arch-rivals Pakistan

New Delhi/Mumbai/Allahabad (UP), Sep 20 (ANI): India produced an all-round performance as they crushed Pakistan by eight wickets in their second Group A clash of the ongoing 2018 Asia Cup at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday. Fans across India came out on the streets to celebrate the easy victory over arch-rivals, Pakistan. Fans burst crackers and waved the Indian flag. Chasing an easy target of 163 runs to win, India did not break much sweat and clinched the victory with 126 balls to spare. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was adjudged the Man of the Match for his brilliant contribution with the ball. Virat Kohli, Mirabai Chanu's names recommended for Khel Ratna

New Delhi, Sep 17 (ANI): Names of Indian skipper Virat Kohli and weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu have been recommended for the prestigious Khel Ratna award, sources in the Khel Ratna and Arjuna Award committee have confirmed. If Kohli bags the honour, he will become the third cricketer to do so after Sachin Tendulkar (1997) and former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (2007). He scored a total of 593 runs in the series with an impressive average of 118.6. Chanu, on the other hand, would join the likes of Karnam Malleswari and Nameirakpam Kunjarani who had received the award in 1995 and 1996, respectively. Mirabai Chanu's coach Vijay Sharma and veteran cricket coach Tarak Sinha are among seven recommended by the selection committee for the Dronacharya Award. The weightlifter had clinched a gold medal in 48 kg category at the 21st Commonwealth Games 2018 at Gold Coast, Queensland in Australia.
