IPL 2019: Opening partnerships set base for our batting to explode, says Colin Ingram

IPL 2019: MI lost opening game due to lack of partnerships, says Yuvraj Singh

Mumbai, Mar 25 (ANI): While addressing a press conference Yuvraj Singh said, "just tried to take my time on the pitch because wickets were falling and I don't want to end up getting close to the game, happy the way I was hitting the ball but the most important thing is winning the game and learn from the mistakes and going to the next game. Losing Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock we couldn't get partnerships going, if we could have got 20-30 partnership we could have got more close to the game." IPL 2019: KXI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals sweat it out ahead of clash

LS polls 2019: Will contest from wherever my party wants, says Digvijaya Singh

Indore (Madhya Pradesh), March 24 (ANI): After Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath suggested Bhopal seat for Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, the latter said he would prefer the Rajgarh parliamentary seat but will contest from wherever his party wants him for the Lok Sabha elections. "My Rajya Sabha term is till 2020 but even then if the party wants me to contest the Lok Sabha elections, my first preference will be the Rajgarh parliamentary seat. However I have told them that I will contest from wherever the party asks me," Singh told reporters in Indore.

IPL 2019: CSK fans flock to Chennai stadium to witness opening game

Jawans more important than cricket game: Gautam Gambhir on India vs Pakistan in WC 2019

New Delhi, Mar 18 (ANI): Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir on Sunday said that jawans are more important than any cricket game when asked about whether India should play Pakistan in the World Cup, and further said that there is nothing wrong in forfeiting the game for two points."It's up to the BCCI to decide. Personally, there's nothing wrong in forfeiting the game as well, 2 points aren't that important, for me jawans are more important than any cricket game. IPL Trophy tour to begin tomorrow

New Delhi, Mar 17 (ANI): Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 Trophy tour will begin tomorrow from New Delhi. The coveted trophy is on display in the national capital. The much awaited IPL is scheduled to begin on March 23 in Chennai where the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings will face RCB. Its first season commenced on 18 April 2008. The winner of the first of IPL was Rajasthan Royals.

India's Krishnaveni, Sonu Kumar bag gold in judo at Special Olympics

Abu Dhabi (UAE), Mar 17 (ANI): Krishnaveni and Sonu Kumar from India won gold medal in judo event in women and men categories respectively at Special Olympics World Summer Games 2019 in Abu Dhabi. Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 is considered as the largest sports and humanitarian event in the world. This is India's 9th participation at the Special Olympics World Summer Games. Krishnaveni's coach Archana said, "She was practicing daily and now she is a gold medalist."

Indian athletes reach Abu Dhabi to participate in Special Olympics World Games 2019

Abu Dhabi (UAE), Mar 16 (ANI): Athletes from India reached Abu Dhabi to participate in Special Olympics World Games 2019. Over 7000 athletes will compete in 24 sports at the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi. Special Olympics will host more than 170 countries this year. An athlete, Aparimita Singh is representing India in the 100m and 200 m races at the Special Olympics. Talking to ANI she said, "I have been practicing for a long time that si why I have reached here." The game saw a spell-bounding opening ceremony in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

15-day cricket coaching camp for girls conclude in Leh

Leh (JandK), Mar 15 (ANI): Under Khelo India 'Sports for Peace and development', a 15-day basic cricket coaching camp, which was organised for girls in Jammu-Kashmir's Leh has finally concluded. The camp was organsied by the District Administration through District Youth Services and Sports Department, Leh. About 30 girls participated in the coaching camp and to mark the conclusion of the camp, an exhibition match was played among girls. They were divided into two teams, Blue Team and Yellow Team, while the match was won by the Blue Team by 3 wickets. This 15 days coaching camp for the budding girls has been proven successful and hoped that Leh will soon be able to produce a good women cricket team.

Unfair to compare Rishabh Pant, MS Dhoni: Bowling coach Bharat Arun

New Delhi, Mar 12 (ANI): Team India bowling coach said that comparing the performance of Rishabh Pant and MS Dhoni would be unfair. Speaking to media he said, "It is very unfair to compare Rishabh Pant and Dhoni at this particular moment. Dhoni is huge, he is a legend. He has worked behind the stumps and is exemplary. When Virat needs somebody to talk to, he is a huge influence on team at that point of time." India is ready to take on Australia in the five-match ODI series on Wednesday, March 13 at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi. 'Young bloke' Rishabh Pant can't be compared with Dhoni: Shikhar Dhawan

Mohali (Chandigarh), Mar 11 (ANI): Reacting to Rishabh Pant missing the crucial catch of Australian batsman Ashton Turner who went on to take his side to the winning line, Shikhar Dhawan said that the wicketkeeper-batsman was a young bloke and thus cannot be compared to the experienced M.S. Dhoni. Speaking on the loss, Dhawan said that his side started well by putting a total of 358 runs in which the opener contributed 143 runs; however, Turner snatched the match from India. Dhawan added that winning and losing is part of the game.
