India A vs West Indies A: 3-day practice match ends in draw at Antigua

Antigua (West Indies), Aug 20 (ANI): A three-day practice match was played between India A team and West Indies A in Antigua. The match commenced on August 17 at the Coolidge Cricket Ground. On the last day of game the match ends with a draw. Ajinkya Rahane led India in the 3-day practice match. Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma and KL Rahul were part of India A team among other players. Ishant Sharma led a fine bowling performance from India. Indian team will begin their World Test Championship campaign in the 1st test match against West Indies from August 22.

Kapil Dev arrives at BCCI HQ to conduct interview for Indian Cricket Team's head coach

Mumbai, Aug 16 (ANI): The BCCI has shortlisted six candidates for Indian cricket team's head coach interview. Former cricketer Kapil Dev arrived at Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters to conduct interview for Indian cricket team's head coach in Mumbai. He is a member of Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) for appointing Head Coach for Indian cricket team. Former India fielding Coach Robin Singh, former New Zealand coach Mike Hesson arrived at Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters for Indian cricket team's head coach interview in Mumbai. He is one of the six candidates shortlisted by BCCI for the post. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will hold a press conference today at 7 pm in Mumbai to announce Indian Cricket Team's Head Coach.

When asked whether he wants to fill that that position in the batting line up, Iyer said, "Personally I am not thinking about batting only at number four but I want to be like someone who is very flexible batting at any number." Simranjit Kaur hungry for more after clinching gold in President's Cup Boxing Tournament

New Delhi, July 31 (ANI): Simranjit Kaur in 60kg category grabbed gold in 23rd President's Cup Boxing Tournament in Indonesia's Labuan Bajo. Kaur defeated Indonesia's Asian Games bronze medalist Hasanah Uswatun 5-0 in the final bout. Sharing her joy, she said that this medal is her good start in 60kg category as she just started in it.
