Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Nov 03 (ANI): Indian Men's Hockey team qualified for Tokyo Olympics 2020 by defeating Russia in the second qualifier. India looked better in second qualifier where team decimated Russia by 7-1. Indian coach Graham Reid appreciated Russia's efforts in the game. Indian Vice Captain SV Sunil won the player of the tournament trophy.

Kiren Rijiju unveils official emblem of FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup India 2020

Mumbai (Maharashtra), Nov 1 (ANI): Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju attended the launch event of the Emblem of FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup India 2020 by The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC), at Gateway of India in Mumbai. The unveiling of the emblem was attended by All India Football Federation president Praful Patel. The FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup India 2020started on November 02 and will conclude on November 21.

Team's head coach Russell Domingo reacted on the national capital's smoggy climate by saying that he liked the weather but not perfect with the smog. "The weather is being magnificent it's not perfect with the smog but it's the same of both teams, it's not perfect, it's not ideal, but there is nothing to complain about or mourn about, we just have to get on with it," said Domingo.

New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): Bangladesh cricket team on October 30 arrived in New Delhi for the T20I match against Team India. Bangladesh will be playing T20 Internationals in the national capital on November 03 and in Rajkot on November 07 and in Nagpur on November 10. The two Test matches will be played in Indore and Kolkata on November 14 and 22 respectively. India will host their first ever pink-ball Test at Eden Gardens in Kolkata from November 22.

Super 'V' is a 15-year old teenager - a cricketing prodigy who discovers his superpowers and goes on to fight the biggest super villain to save the world. "Super 'V' is not only for the entertainment, it has the message and it will give you some kind of clarity in your life," says Kohli at the launching event. The series will premiere on November 5 on Star Plus, Star Sports, Disney, Marvel HQ and Hotstar, and will coincide with Kohli's birthday.

French Open: PV Sindhu crashes out in quarterfinals

New Delhi, Oct 26 (ANI): PV Sindhu was knocked out in the quarter-final of French Open on October 25. India's ace shuttler lost a highly-entertaining match against Tai Tzu Ying. The Taiwanese shuttler beat her 21-16, 24-26, 21-17 in the quarter-final in Paris. Sindhu hadn't dropped a single game in the tournament until this match. Ganguly is likely to serve only 9 months as BCCI president as the "Cooling Off" period clause in the new BCCI constitution makes it mandatory for board officials to step down after 6 years in office. Mumbai, Oct 23 (ANI): Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly formally took charge as the president of Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) on Oct 23. 'Dada' was elected as BCCI president unopposed. 'Prince of Kolkata' is 39th president of the BCCI. While addressing the press conference after taking charge, Sourav Ganguly said, "I find myself very fortunate to be in a position where I can make a change and when it's a challenge I will do it the way I know with no compromise, credibility corruption free and same for all BCCI."
