Indian Army signs MoU with SBI on salary package

New Delhi, Jul 13 (ANI): The Indian Army on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Bank of India on defence salary package. The first MoU between SBI and the Indian Army was signed in 2011 and was renewed on 23 February, 2015. According to Indian Army, the revised MoU is tailor-made to suit the requirements of serving soldiers, pensioners and their families. "A number of additional facilities have been incorporated in the revised MoU which include free personal accident death cover, free permanent total disablement cover and other accidental benefits to the deceased soldier and family. This MoU will benefit a large number of serving and retired Army personnel who are having their accounts with SBI. The MoU will be valid till 3 January, 2019 and continuation thereafter will be subject to review/renewal," the Indian Army said in a statement. Vistara orders planes worth $3.1bn from Airbus, Boeing

Gurugram (Haryana), Jul 11 (ANI): Vistara Airlines has placed orders with Airbus and Boeing for a total of 19 aircraft against an investment of USD 3.1 billion. Vistara will also lease 37 new A320neo aircrafts from leasing companies, adding a total of 50 A320neo-family aircrafts into its existing fleet. Vistara will use these aircraft to ramp up its domestic network and to support its international operations later this year. The 787-9s are intended for use on medium-haul and long-haul international routes. Vistara is due to receive one A320neo in September 2018 from the orders placed.

Revenue collection for April-May capped at Rs 1,27,461cr

New Delhi, Jun 30 (ANI): A sum of Rs.1,27,461 crore has been collected towards revenue up to May this year, as per the Ministry of Finance. The formerly mentioned figure comprises Rs. 1,02,408 crore tax revenue (Net to Centre), Rs.24, 049 crore of non tax revenue and Rs. 1,004 crore of non debt capital receipts, an official release noted. Among the non debt capital receipts is recovery of loans (Rs.570 crore) and disinvestment of public sector undertakings or PSUs (Rs. 434 crore). On the other hand, Rs.1,11,578 crore has been transferred to state governments as a devolution of share of taxes by the Centre up to this period, which is Rs. 15,217 crore higher than the corresponding period of the last year 2017-18, the release highlighted. Total expenditure incurred by the government is Rs.4,72,954 crore, out of which Rs.4,09,163 crore is on revenue account and Rs.63,791 crore is on capital account. Research in consumer behaviour predicts 120 million Indian online shoppers in 2018

New Delhi, Jun 25 (ANI): A recent research in consumer behaviour revealed that, over 120 million Indian consumers are expected to shop online this year. According to ASSOCHAM-Resurgent joint study, online shopping is expected to reach growth of 115 percent, aided by fast-increasing data consumption and improvement in logistics. In 2017, the study noted that around 108 million consumers successfully shopped online. The preferable device for e-commerce sales was mobile phones. The frequency of purchase was higher for categories like apparels and accessories reaching 54%, followed by beauty and personal care at 43%, with electronics settling at 33%. Online ticket buyers have also shown growing comfort in opting for payment mediums like debit and credit cards. The study further noted that, regular internet users used cash on delivery (74%) option more as compared to debit card (18%) and credit card (5%).
