Mumbai, Dec 18 (ANI): Soon after the early trends of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly polls began pouring in on Monday morning, the Sensex opened with a thud and Nifty slipped below its crucial 10,150 level. New Delhi, Dec 18 (ANI): The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has temporarily suspended telecom major Bharti Airtel and Airtel Payments Bank's 'Aadhaar linked e-KYC' services for allegedly misusing the facility. "We can confirm that we have received interim order from the UIDAI regarding temporary suspension of Aadhaar linked e-KYC services till their satisfaction on certain processes relating to Airtel Payments Bank's onboarding of customers," the company said in a statement on Saturday. "We are engaging with the authority and are hopeful of an early resolution. We are also undertaking to complete the said actions on priority and have commenced with checks of our process flows. Being compliant to all guidelines is paramount to us," the statement added. UIDAI's interim order comes after some customers alleged that the telecom company had opened their bank account in Airtel Payments Bank without their consent. New Delhi, Dec 10 (ANI): Bharti Airtel on Sunday signed an agreement with telecom department and Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF) to facilitate providing network to 2100 uncovered villages in North Eastern states of India. The focus is to provide networks to uncovered villages and national highways in the states of Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh. New Delhi, Dec 10 (ANI): The Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (ASSOCHAM) on Sunday opined that agriculture sector needed the maximum of the government's attention and that it should be the top most priority in the upcoming Budget, as it has seen a major setback in Kharif production, leading to overall laggard growth of the sector in the country's GDP performance for the second quarter of the current fiscal. New Delhi, Dec 10 (ANI): The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in its recently released annual survey on "computer software and information technology enabled services (ITES) exports" has revealed that India's total export of software services increased by 10.3 percent to USD 97.1 billion. In 2015-16, India's total export of software services excluding exports through commercial presence was USD 88 billion. "Exports of computer services remained the dominant component, with private limited companies and public limited companies holding equal shares in exports during the year," the survey stated providing insights on various characteristics of India's exports of software services. For 2016-17 round of the survey, 7,506 IT companies were approached, out of which 1,362 companies (accounting for 81.2 percent of the total software exports) responded. New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): Japanese automaker Nissan Motor has begun international arbitration against India and has sought over $770 million in connection to a dispute over state incentives. Last year, Nissan sought payment of incentives due from the Tamil Nadu Government as part of a 2008 agreement to set up a car manufacturing plant in the state. The automaker said that its repeated requests to Tamil Nadu officials were overlooked and even a plea by company's chairman, Carlos Ghosn, turned futile. Officials from several ministries assured Nissan that payment would be made. In August, Nissan gave India an ultimatum to appoint an arbitrator. Other automakers, including Ford and Hyundai Motor, have set up production hubs in the state.
