The Congress could not have taken steps such as construction of the Ram temple, the surgical strike or the abrogation of Article 370 because it does not care for the country's security or the sentiments of people, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday. Campaigning for the BJP in this constituency in Himachal Pradesh's Una district, Adityanath said India is touching new heights under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the country's prestige has risen on the global stage. UP CM lays foundation of hostel for nursing students of BRD Medical College

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday laid the foundation of a hostel for nursing college students on the occasion of golden jubilee celebration of BRD Medical College here. The hostel will have the capacity to accommodate 100 students. He also inaugurated the golden jubilee main gate of the college. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday attended the 'Shri Ram Charan Paduka Pujan' programme here and flagged off the Shri Ram Karmbhoomi Yatra chariot which will reach Janakpur Dham in Nepal via Buxar. The event was attended by Union Minister Ashwini Choubey, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh and several saints, an official release issued here said. At the outset of the programme, Adityanath conducted a ritualistic 'pujan' of Shri Ram Charan Paduka amid the chanting of mantras. After the pujan, the chief minister flagged off the Shri Ram Charan Paduka chariot. Assembly by-elections: More than 45% voter turnout recorded till 3 pm

An average voter turnout of 45.60 per cent was recorded till 3 pm Thursday in the by-elections to seven assembly constituencies underway in six states, including Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The polling is being held in Mokama and Gopalganj assembly constituencies of Bihar, Andheri (East) of Maharashtra, Adampur of Haryana, Munugode of Telangana, Gola Gokarannath of Uttar Pradesh, and Dhamnagar of Odisha. Among the seven seats where bypolls are being held, the BJP held three seats and the Congress two, while the Shiv Sena and the RJD had one each. The contest is symbolic of the fierce turf war between the BJP and the regional parties. For the bypolls in Bihar, the main contest is between the BJP and the RJD, and the saffron party's main contenders in Haryana are the Congress, INLD and the AAP. UP govt launches Industrial Investment & Employment Promotion Policy 2022

The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday launched its Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy 2022 to enable the state's aim of becoming a one trillion-dollar economy. With the UP Global Investors Summit 2023 at sight, the state Cabinet on Thursday passed the new umbrella policy of the State, an official spokesperson said here. The policy aims at creating a progressive, innovative, and competitive industrial ecosystem generating employment in the state while mobilising investments from across the world, Industry Minister, Nand Gopal 'Nandi' said. Ensure security of enemy properties across UP: Adityanath directs officials

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday directed the officials concerned to ensure the security of enemy properties located in different districts of the state, an official statement said. Enemy properties are properties that have been left behind by people who have taken citizenship of Pakistan and China. There have also been reports of encroachment at certain places. In such a situation, a report of the updated status of all the enemy properties should be prepared. Uttar Pradesh is aiming at becoming a one-trillion dollar economy and protecting investors' interests is the top priority for the government, the state's industrial development minister Nand Gopal Gupta said on Wednesday.
