Thomas Cook India, SOTC collaborate with WelcomHeritage Hotels

Travel services firm Thomas Cook India on Monday said it along with its arm SOTC has collaborated with WelcomHeritage Hotels to introduce holiday experiences across India. The portfolio features a blend of palaces, forts, havelis and wellness and wildlife resorts. The heritage stays are spread across 40 locales from Srinagar, Gangtok, Dharamshala, Corbett, Nainital, Palampur, Amritsar, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Ranthambore to Pench,Chandrapur, Ooty, Coorg, among others, Thomas Cook India said in a filing to the BSE. "Limited reopening of borders has put the spotlight firmly on Destination India and we are delighted to partner with the WelcomHeritage Hotels to catalyse domestic tourism,"Thomas Cook (India) President & Country Head Holidays, MICE, VisaRajeev Kale said. Travel services firm Thomas Cook India on Tuesday said it has entered into a long-term pact with Experience Hub, the trade and promotion arm of Yas Island Abu Dhabi, to drive visits to the destination. Thomas Cook India to acquire brand rights for India, Sri Lanka, Mauritius

Travel services firm Thomas Cook (India) on Tuesday said it has entered into a pact with Thomas Cook UK's appointed special managers to acquire the rights of the iconic brand for India, Sri Lanka and Mauritius markets. Thomas Cook (India) Ltd (TCIL) has signed an agreement with AlixPartners, Thomas Cook UK's appointed Special Managers for the complete ownership of the brand name across these markets, for a one-time payment of Rs 13.9 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. "I am delighted that we have been able to sign an agreement to acquire the rights to the iconic Thomas Cook brand across India, Mauritius & Sri Lanka. Thomas Cook India posts Rs 4.26-cr Q2 net, says global unrest affected biz

Travel services provider Thomas Cook (India) Ltd on Thursday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 4.26 crore in the second quarter ended September 30. The company had posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 6.25 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, Thomas Cook India said in a regulatory filing. Total income from operations stood at Rs 1,747.59 crore as compared to Rs 1,611.15 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal, it added. The company said a challenging operating environment with continuing weak consumer sentiment had impacted the travel segment primarily in the outbound and domestic businesses.
